Well, I’m quite late with my illusion post today! I feel like quite a dope right about now, but things are pretty hectic around here right now. My daughter has strep throat and everything is just all bungled up with the rest of the family. Crazy! Kind of like today’s brick wall illusion…
Apparently, this brick wall illusion has the Internet all up in arms lately. Once again, my dopiness kicked in on this one and it took me longer than I care to admit to figure out what was wrong with this picture. But, there is something amiss in this photo…
Some of you will probably see it right away, but some of you will struggle to see it. For those of you struggling with this one, I promise you that once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Every time you look at this picture, it’ll jump right out at you!

I’m usually pretty quick with these, but this one has me a bit stumped. Is it the middle brick all the way on the right side that looks like a smile face sticking out it’s tongue?
I think it’s that this isn’t a wall, it’s really a picture of a road?

Well, I looked it up online and even now that I know what I am looking for I still can’t see it. :( Maybe at some point someone will post which brick to look at to see it.

It looks like someone stuck a cigar in it. The small round thing that looks like a round stone is its ash end.

Yep. It’s true that once you’ve seen it you can’t unsee it, but damn, that took a while.

I don’t get why this is an optical illusion and why everyone is so cute about saying, “oh, I won’t tell you because it will spoil it for you.” I’m done with the brick wall.
There is a cigar (a lit cigar?) sticking out of the wall.
Oh, I saw that…but what makes it an optical illusion? Or particularly hard to spot? I guess I’m feeling a bit dense on this one. But thank you. I do appreciate the help.
Well, yes I saw that, but it didn’t look like a cigar to me and still doesn’t. It looks like a baby hippo’s head with the snout facing you. There are two nostrils, a lower jaw and an eye further back…
You smoking something else, I assume your on a hallucinating trip. Where do you observe a baby’s calf of a hippopotamus here, please enlighten the laymen here.
