Variation of Devil’s Fork Illusion

/

I know that the devil’s fork illusion and different variations of it have been posted on the site before, but it’s such an awesome classic illusion that sometime I just can’t help myself. You’ve got to admit that no matter how many times you stare at it, you can’t help but feel a little befuddled! So, let’s start this workweek off with an interesting variation of the classic devil’s fork illusion…

fork illusion

This devil’s fork illusion variation isn’t a fork at all, but a series of four sticks. Or is it three sticks…? Can’t tell, can you? One side makes it look like this image contains four sticks and the other side makes it look like this illusion has three sticks. The blocks on the end of the three pronged side are a nice touch as well, I think. It makes the illusion a little more confusing.
