Johan Streulens created this interesting effect. He sent me an animation which was too big to post on the site, but never the less this screen-shot still gives you an interesting experience. This is what Johan wrote: “This is an experiment with illusion. I just move the same picture up and down“. If you look at the center of the “black hole“, it will appear to expand and maybe you’ll get impression it’s pulling you in. I sure did! I’m still in Greece, but on Monday I should be back home. im the first person! who cares tho? this black hole thing is cool! its weird, i felt kinda weird staring at it. its still cool. does anyone else feel creeped out when they lok at it?

For an “experiment,” it’s really awesome! I kind of felt like the black hole was pulling me in, but it appeared more fuzzy as it got larger.

Dude! I put this on my desktop and accidentaly found this out… Try staring at the center for half a minute or a minute, then look at a white wall… It just wont go away!!! Scary for a while.

Hi and sorry to spoil it for you folks but the illusion only works depending on your computer monitor! It will only work great on LCD’s Laptops etc It discards some colours at low and high angles.
