Rock Climbing Optical Illusion

How’s everyone doing on this amazing Tuesday morning? I hope you’re all doing great. I know I am as I sit here with a nice cup of hot coffee on my desk and I look through some of the new optical illusions that I have on my computer. Remember, if you have any optical illusions, you can always feel free to submit them to me. I’m always on the hunt for new illusions, so any submissions are appreciated. I check my email every day, so you never know, the illusion you submit could be featured on the site in the future.

Today, I have a rock climbing optical illusion that could give you a little case of vertigo. Okay, so it’s not that intense of an illusion, but I definitely thought this guy did a great job with it. What he’s doing, plus the proper camera angle makes for a great and intense-looking shot. Are you ready to check out what I’m talking about? If so, you can scroll down right now.

*ANSWER* I believe the man in the image above is crawling up his driveway and used a creative camera angle to make it look as if he’s actually rock climbing, but he’s not.

  1. This could have been more convincing if the guy supported his body and hid whatever he used. It’s obvious the guy is pressed up to the ‘wall’ from gravity.

  2. The shadows on the top edges of the block suggest that it is lit from “below”. If this was a vertical wall he is very high up and the sun is below him.
