Birds of a Feather Flock Together

There is an old English saying which points how those of similar taste congregate in groups. You may find this phrase in the title of today’s post. I think it fits perfectly with today’s picture, do you agree? You can find more similar face illusions if you check the #face tag, meanwhile let me tell you more about the saying. Did you know that the first known citation found in print (of the currently used English version) appeared waaay-back in 1599. It was The Dictionarie complied by the English lexicographer John Minsheu. The language was little more stylish back then, so the original went something like this:

Birdes of a feather will flocke togither.

    1. i saw the face first, then i realized they were all birds. the face is too noticeable, but its a really good illusion.

  1. I agree with josephine, the gadget picture looks like a face, and the webpage picture looks like birds. Yet another illusion where size matters.

  2. I think this is really cool!!! i love these sort of illusions as they look really good and i think they are really creative!!! wish i could do something like that!!!

  3. I’m not sure how this is an optical Illusion. Surely you could draw any image just by placing a load of birds in the right place.

  4. wow i dont even like “see” the birds; i need to concentrate so hard on them to simply see it as birds.

okay-ish illusion, not the best, waaaay too obvious, and for those of you who cant see it instantly, it’s a long-haired woman’s face

  5. It is an illusion albeit somewhat mediocre. It would have been outstanding were it an actual untouched picture. In reality it would be rare for birds in a formation to be dispersed and oriented in such a way as to produce the same effect. Nevertheless it is in fact by definition an illusion.

  6. when you see birds flying south in a V shape and one side is longer, Do you know Why?

    A. There are More birds on that side
