A Beautiful Peacock That Isn’t

I hope you had a great time playing with our previous illusion, as I think it’s one of the best we’ve featured lately. Today I bring you this beautiful Peacock made by Cecelia Webber. Your assignment is to spot the illusion without me explaining any further. I will suppress myself from giving any clues, so no hints this time ;)

  1. That took me a while to see and I am still not sure I know what the feathers are made from. This is pretty amazing art.

    1. The circular things in the feathers are people holding the legs with their arms. We are looking down at them.

    2. It’s made by multiple body parts.
Mainly an eagle view to see a human.
Hands are the peacock’s crown and the feathers’ ends.
      An arm is the neck.
      The yellow/green are butts. :P

    3. The head of peacock is made from the hand of the artist with paint work upon it. Great art…

    4. cgimusic, the blue spots on the feathers are a person, sitting down, hugging their knees to their chest, seen from above.

I’m not sure what the green parts are, but I assume the whole thing is people or parts of people.

  2. Blues are of an overview of a woman sitting with her legs folded into her chest with her arms about them. Head and neck are a blue hand and arm. Beak are a pair of crossed legs. The yellows are still questionable, but I can only guess hunched backs.

  3. The neck and head of the peacock is a painted hand- you can see the fingers forming the beak. Nice one.

  4. It looks to me as if we are looking down on a woman sitting with her arms embracing her knees, made from a painted hand which forms the peacock head. Impressive illustration.

  5. OMG I SEE IT! They’re people! The blue things with the black middle are people, where the black is the hair. and the green stuff are arms. and the whole thing is made of people! and the light yellowy things that look like bread are backs, and the beak are legs as well, and the whole head + the beak is actually one person, and the neck is an arm and omg that’s amayyyyzing…

  6. I’m pretty sure the neck and head of the ‘bird’ are actually an arm and hand and not a bird at all.

  7. It’s people! Soylent Peacock is made out of people. They’re making our art out of people. Next thing they’ll be breeding us as tiles for mosaics. You’ve gotta tell them. You’ve gotta tell them!

  8. Simple!! It is a whole bunch of people as the body, the “dots” on the feathers, and the face of the bird and than the neck is an arm.

  9. it’s made from human limbs. head is made from hands, crescent is made from hands. tail is made from ass, feather more hands. :)

  10. LOL, you try so hard to not give clues, Vuldrak, but I still clicked the two shortcuts to the epic body paint items. The Spots are HANDS!

  11. I see the female form for the beak, and the pattern on the feathers are overhead shots of a head, shoulders, arms and knees tucked up towards the chin. Plus a forearm for the neck of the Peacock. The body of the Peacock looks like a bunch of apples, but it also looks like the backs and shoulders of people with their heads tilted forward out of view. Other than that, I’ve got nothin’.

  12. Hi, it took me a while like cgimusic but I notice the the head and neck of the peacock is actually someone’s hand and arm.

  13. Spoiler alert:
The back end is made out of upside down pears.
The neck is a human arm, head is a hand holding something to make the beak.
    The feathers….no idea.

  14. Behind the bird : apples ? And the green part of the feathers might be leaves from a conifer ?

  15. Think its a Christmas Tree with Woman bending over for ornaments,Lady laying in the eye of the peacock,Not sure about the blue, can’t make it out,but looks like to me base of the tree in blue, I see apples, and baby faces also.lol It’s a tough one. But good.

  16. I give up, what is it other than a peacock? Looks like it might be an arm with the thumb and forefinger touching to form an oval but what else?

  17. Its body art as tags suggest.
The eye of the peacock head of a lady when looked from above.
    Excellent!!!

  18. I can’t figure it out??? Is there anywhere to find out what the illusion is? I’m not sleeping at night, I can’t concentrate this is driving me crazy. . .

I need more than a hint!!!

  19. If you visit the artists web site you can see that she does these with multiple images. Thus she photographs the shape then duplicates it to make the images she needs. The feathers are human arms and upper backs. The illusion is awesome but it is not just one sitting to make such a complex image.

  20. Took ages and originally I thought the peacock body was apples but no!! All the same “raw” material…..

  21. Wow! Possibly the best of this type I’ve seen!
Very hard to pick with all those lines… Need to see the “making of” to fully comprehend this.

  22. I can’t really see it, I would like a clue. The only thing I noticed was that the neck of the bird looks like someone’s arm, and the head is the hand; but it’s beak looks like a pair of crossed bare legs, on a much smaller scale. Cecilia has a website at http://ceceliawebber.com/

  23. Amazing!
I think the main part of the head is a painted hand, and the main part of the each feather is pine bough. However, the resolution of the photo (if indeed it is a photo) is not high enough figure out what makes up the spots.

    Love it!

  24. I was stuck looking at this for a whole day…and I finally got it! Pretty amazing. The round part of the feathers are a view from above…exact same thing as the head and beak, only different size and colours…

  25. The peacock head is a hand!! The beak is 2 fingers… although as cgimusic said, i’m not sure about the feathers…

  26. The eyes on the feathers are women shown from above. The women have their arms wrapped around their knees and you see the top of their black hair/head. The yellow body is the back of a body, you see the rounded/indented buttocks and torso of the body.
