Veolia Environnement’s Optical Illusion Campaign

Maja Zielinska stumbled across this interesting optical illusion campaign done by Veolia Environment company. As I always said, putting optical illusion in your billboard campaigns always brings more attention to your product. Some big companies already discovered this, and got great results. Just check Sony Bravia’s illusion posters, Harley Davidson motorbike faces, Veja Magazine’s provocative campaign, Red Cross’s disaster poster, Sandra Bullock movie poster, etc… Many of these I already categorized inside Billboard Illusions category. In the following photo set, you should be able to see all kind of things – trees, butterflies, flowers you name it! Which one did you like the best? You think there is a chance these weren’t manipulated with some photo editing software? Chances are slim… Maja also wrote:

“The newest British version of The Economist was just delivered to my office. In there I found an add of company called Veolia Environment. Immediately I thought about your illusions as I remember seeing other pictures you published from Google Earth. I went to Veolia’s website and found more then just one pic. I don’t know how they did those pictures, but I don’t think it’s pure nature. Enjoy”

if y’all notice..the three silo in the last pic looks like a bubbles made by the smaller fish.

  3. I’d love to live in a world where these things were real and not photoshopped :) But the pics are beautiful, the butterfly most of all.

  4. why is there also a ‘photoshop’ comment? illusions can be photoshopped or not. it doesn’t matter. these are nice.

  5. hehehe, there’s a pop-up tool tip on the tree city one. People should be more careful when they take screenshots :)

  6. Everyone hates your dad, didn’t you know? What’s the second picture? I assume it has something to do with the yellow, but I can’t make anything out.

  7. Your dad sucks, but look on the bright side these pictures of nature look like pictures of nature.

  8. Dude! The second pic is totally logic, it’s a tulip^^

BTW: at the first pic look close in the top left-hand corner, you’ll see the trees are copied and they slice the buildings in half….

  9. I clicked on random illuion and it gave me the toys illusions catigory page. Is there any way to make it so it JUST goes to illusions? These pics r cool!
