Well maybe not three, perhaps more precise number of birds in this picture is 4. It depends whether the nose element is also constructed from a bird or is it some kind of insect? Anyway, is it only me or do these birds and insects form some kind of a gentle female face when observed from distance? It sure appears so!

I love the widget for the Vista sidebar. It’s the very first one I have active :)
its on my side bar on windows and i generally have a closer look at all of the illusions whenever they change and if its a good one will look more than once to see peoples comments
How on Earth do you see the nose bird as an insect? It’s a light-colored bird on a twig.

I actually saw the face first. Sometimes I think having bad eyesight makes it easier to see some illusions.
I think this illusion is a bit forced. You can see a face, but it’s in the same way any 4 small shapes can make a face; It’s not the highest quality illusion.
I didn’t see anything other than birds at first, then shifted my eyes to start reading the paragraph and my periferal vision picked up the face right away. :D
