Twenty-eight things are wrong in this picture below. Can you spot them all? Use comments to post your findings… I found only one, well didn’t look that much, but seems pretty hard. My finding is that wind is blowing strangly here, since there is smoke coming out of the chimney and going right, while trees are bent left. Please help me with 27 other wrong things… When you solve them all, jump to “Face in the Coffe”, “Dolphins”, “Many Faces” or grand “Virgin’s find the 75 Bands” for simmilar tasks.
The mule is plowing the field in the worng direction, one of the sheep is missing a beg, and the shadow of the fence is facing he wrong direction. The wheelbarrow is missing a handle, the house has a doorstep but no door, one of the branches in the tall tree does not match the others, the wheels on the wheelcart are mismatched… that’s all I see right now.
The bars in the windows are different.
One sheep has a dog tail.
There are five slats on the gate and only four slat shadows
The shadows of the man and the gate point in different directions, and the ground that the man is standing on is at a different level from the ground that the sheep are standing on (compare with gate vs wall).
1) The perspective of the sheep herd is a bit off
2) The wheelbarrow is missing a wheel as well
3) The trees in the field have no leaves while the trees nearer the observer have heaps.
That’s all I got.

The tree’s in the background seem to belong to winter.
The house is not ending normaly. The walls stop at the tree, rear to the building and does not continue :) that’s what i found! :|

The trees seem to be planted at different levels.
There may be a shrub growing out of the fence.
The farmer has his butt on the front.
The Dogs legs are white – sheepdogs are like that. They’re rarely the same colour all over. And the people are harvesting hay, which is stacked like that in some places. The person on top of the cart seems wrong somehow, but I can’t put my finger on what it is…
I’m not sure, but the hand that holds the cane looks to be on backwards (we should be able to see some of the cane cross his palm under the thumb).
I think there should be an animal attached to the hay cart, but that could be opinion.
The dog’s shadow goes the wrong way, as well. The wheelbarrow casts no shadow.

there are cliber plants on the side of the house with nothing to support then they seem to be growing out of the walls
as well as the above the gates shadow is all wigglely when the road appears to be smooth.
The smoke from the chimney is going in oposite direction of the way trees are leaning. The wind can only blow one way, so one of those is wrong.

There’s a shadow connecting the tree on the left and the tree in the middle when there’s nothing to cast such a shadow because the shadow goes downward from the middle tree, the mule seems to have no tail, and there is nothing connecting the plow to the mule aside from two lines which go nowhere.

Hey, I’m new here put love this kind of thing. After reading and viewing the image for a bit, this is what I got.
First, what I disagree with:
The trees in the field don’t have leaves but both could be dead. I may be missing something but I don’t understand why plowing and harvesting couldn’t take place at the same time as long as you already harvested the area you’re plowing. And the house IS casting a shadow, judging by the man’s shadow, its early afternoon which would make that little shaded area around the house. Smoke coming out of the chimney during summer doesn’t seem odd because someone could be cooking up some grub. The dog with “cheep legs” doesn’t seem that far out of place considering I’ve seen black dogs with white legs before but I when ahead and counted it anyway. I don’t really see the man as being nude, could just be the color of hit clothes. And finally, the cart in the back field having different sized wheels seems normal because many are constructed this way to make steering them possible.

24. The “Lake” in the far back doesn’t seem to fit. To me, it looks more like a hill that starts out green then turns blue.
25. And the donkey doesn’t seem to have a tail
That about does it for me… The time spent typing this was greater than the time I could stand looking at the picture.

Just thought I’d point out that the ground the man is standing on is actually level with the ground the sheep are on. It’s an optical illision in itself, caused by the stone wall.

2. The stone wall of the fence between the house and the gate is curved in a way that looks like it will topple over.

The door could be around the house, NO FUCKING SHIT THE SMOKE IS BLOWING THE WRONG WAY – It’s even in the damn description, how the shit does the sky end? I see it still going behind everything else… The fence doesn’t have to be attached to the wall, in fact I have one where the post is split down the middle and swings open from there.

well, if you look closely, you see a wall but the ground above it is at the level of the highest point of the wall, but the ground under it is on the lowest point of the wall, which makes the gate stairs…

The cart (not card) carrying the hay is known as a haywain. And it’s wrong that the horse is not hitched up to it, haywains need to move around…

So many people have mentioned the tree direction vs the smoke yet this is perfectly plausible.
Although the general direction of the wind blows toward the left (at least for 3 out of 5 trees), it’s very possible for the smoke to blow the other way.
Wind generally blows from the East to West in the southern hemisphere and opposite to that in the northern hemisphere, but sometimes it can blow in a north-easterly or south-easterly direction or south-westerly or north-westerly direction at any given time, depending on which hemisphere you’re observing.
So there’s nothing wrong with a tree growth/smoke direction set up like this one.
Sorry folks but this is not a mistake.
Perhaps the artist wasn’t aware of these geographical facts. It does seem to be a very old picture.

On the guy being half the size of the house, that is actually not that weird.
If you are in Europe many of this kind of farmhouse is quite old, and made with limited recourses for not so tall people. So if the building is well old and you are (like me) above average height, that will happen.

the issue with the gentlemans ‘pants’- this is kind of traditional English farm wear, called britches. So they are not wrong with the picture, its in keeping with the theme. Those are not ‘mountains’- I live in Wales, and believe me, they are hills. And to that fact, along the British coastline (this is undoubtably set in Britain) you often get that vista- hills with cliffs dropping down to the sea. Its not unusual or wrong. Someone mentioned some nonsense about harvesting a crop and deforestation? In Britain, coz we’re a smaller country, we have less land so for better or worse, the fields of crops and such often go right to the edge of boundaries. And Tom- thats a horse not an oxen, and a cart not a chariot. Oh yes and the house doesn’t cut off that again is traditional British building design, thatched peaked roof, and most like just one roomed at that. The shed wouldn’t nescessarily need to be thatched because there is nothing in it to insulate, so simple tiles would suffice. However, I have no suggestions to put forward so I aint so bright

The trees are bending left so the winds blowing that way and the smoke from the chimney is going to the right or the other way around

Some of these are arguable, and hard to say exactly how many mistakes it counts as, (shadows, for example). But I can not find anymore!
