Today, I have learned of a concept on the body that is quite controversial. Some say it is art and expression while others argue it to be self-mutilation.
It is called body scarification. In many cultures, people do it for ritual purposes. Others take it upon themselves to express body art.
The illusion that these scars create after they heal is quite astounding.
The fresh scars on the procedure are alarming. I can understand where the controversy lies. Doctors would not approve of this dangerous and gruesome technique.
