Nature’s Elephant Rock Illusion

Friend of my Hrvoje Cota (the guy who sent that cool Basketball Player with ball head), sent me this funny elephant illusion found in the Nevada desert. It’s funny how often nature posts it’s own illusion creations. We had many on this blog appear in the past. If you remember that funny tree that started it all, following with Rose Illusion. I like them pretty much. Be sure to check few more elephants, starting with “how many legs this elephant has?” illusion. While writing this, I almost had my balcony set on fire! It seems cigarette one of my other friends left, was still lit. Man, glad everything came up right, and that we managed to put the fire out. And my friend can be happy that he is still alive (not from fire, but from my anger :). Enjoy this post! You can see more similar illusions in Multiple Meanings section…

  1. This should help you see it. Look for the elephants eye a little before halfway up on the left of the rock. That vertical line is its mouth. You can probably see the rest if you can find those.

  2. LOL .. u guys have no imagination whatsoever. its not clear, thats y its called an elephant illusion not an elephants picture. but i can see the mouth eye the shape of the head ad hte begining of the trunk as well of what looks like some elphant feet.

  4. ok, not quite sure how you could miss it, but some people see things differently to others… clue, the rock is a face, trunk and leg, not a full elephant. loving the goddessess sense of humour.

  7. frankly i don’t see how this is an illusion, it’s just a rock that looks like an elephant…

by definition if it were an illusion the rock would appear to BE an elephant, not look like one.

  10. I just watched the Count of Monte Cristo movie last night and there was a similar rock outcropping on a Mediterranean island that looked like an elephant, just as they were looking at a map of the island that mentioned “Elefante”. It was only on the screen for a couple of seconds, but it was unmistakeable.
