  1. Well, that design was found at the Lions Club Expos when I was a kid. Don’t know about that particular installment though.

  2. The installment is a big pipe being covered by the water. And dissapearing by the white wash pressure being forced downwards contiusaly.

  3. ive seen little home versions of this. A friend of mine had an “endless beer bottle” It used the same idea as this fountain. It was pretty cool

  4. welll basically everyone answered it what i was going to answer, but I want to say it anyways ^_^ the water goes down and in the inside the water goes up and i found tht at the ocean city maryland ripleys believe it or not museum

  5. Its really cool, and i know that there is a pipe holding this tap beneath the presaure of the water coming down. Its simple, water goes up the pipe and comes back down around the pipe looking like the tap is floating and letting out loads of water…
I wouldn’t like to be underneath that pipe!

  6. Quote age:
“simple it has a pipe within the stream and saports the top…”

Translation: This trick is simple. The saucet is being supported by a pipe hidden within the stream of water.

  7. I’ve seen that trick before. i live on the east coast and theres a place called ocean city, where theres a ripley’s believe it or not museum, and it has one of those never ending floating tapes. everythime i passed it i couldn’t figure it out, til my cousin spoiled it for me and told me about the pipe in the middle….

    nice pic too!

  8. i dun get it..can sumone plz explain it to meee..all i see i sum cut of pipe wif water comin down..lmao

  9. I guess everybody’s been to OC, MD cause thats where i’ve seen it too. The water covers the pipe a lot better in this pic though.

  10. i saw one of these on my holiday in tenerife at the water park, a thick white pipe is hidden beneath the flow of water supporting it

  11. There used to be one at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England. Not sure if it’s still there. Last time I saw it was probably 10 years ago.

  12. its taking the moisture out of the air and all that moisture is coming out of the pipe, and its coming out with so much force that its supporting the pipe in midair? just kidding

  13. theres a glass pipe where the water in flowing and it sucks in the water then spits it back out. it stands in the air cuz the glass pipe is stuck to the swimming pool or whatever it is.

  14. pipes hidden in the water? ye all are disbelievers, tis a divine tap! and the water flowing from it is HOLY WATER! Twas put there to symbolise the strength and importance of water on this land.

  15. its not photoshop or anything. they had soething like this at the Ripleys exebit. There is a perfectly clear pipe in the center with water running up it. It comes out at the top and flows down the outside of the pipe. Since the wole thing is covered in water, you can barley see the inside, making it look like just water

  16. neww grl in twn!!! how are you all? mighty confused! don’t use such strong langue, hence body art!! so, i seen one of these around in, uh, KINGSLEYS in the pokeanose!!!

    duh!!!
    i love you all!!!!!!!!!!
    XXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    hippie joe
    boi!!!

  17. this is in tne waterpark in tenerife and i am goin there soon itis gonna b fab woooo 4rm jj in wales the best in the world exept tenerife

  18. well i don’t know about this one but i do know an identical fountain is as the Ripley’s believe it or not Museum in St. Augustine

  19. It works because it has a clear plastic pipe in the middle of the water flow, holding up the structure, and pumping up water which is then forced out creating the illusion that it is floating in mid air, but you just see through the piping.

  20. There is also a simular version to this in West Edmonton Mall, Alberta, Canada. In the indoor waterpark there is a childrens area which features this “invisible tap”. It’s funny to watch the little kids stare at it in amasement…

  21. Proof it doesnt pay to treat people like idiots:

    To Quote ‘Frappo’, comment no.16-
“Quote Age: ‘simple it has a pipe within the stream and saports the top…’

Translation: This trick is simple. The saucet is being supported by a pipe hidden within the stream of water.”

    SAUCET??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

You take the trouble to publicly embarrass someone for their spelling, yet you cant spell your own Americanism?

    Serves you right, smart alec.

  22. Surely it isnt THAT painful to read other people’s comments?

I’ve counted 14 DIFFERENT PEOPLE who have ALL given THE SAME ANSWER!!!

WE GET IT, THERE IS A PIPE, YOU DONT NEED TO SAY IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Now- who’s betting someone below me is going to say it again?

  23. Hey, umm, I think that there is one in the Ripley’s musem and also the water is in a hose type thing that goes outta the runnning water faucet…But I wanna no how the faucet is being held up dat makes no since

  24. I know!! they had mini, older looking ones at “the cracker barrel”. by the way, good food! well, anyway, there is a clear, plastic tube where you see all of the water. the tube holds up the drain. yay for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. I saw a tap very similar to this on a school trip to Belgium in 2006, but i have no idea where about it was. Does anyone know, thanks :)

  26. There’s another version of this using a sculpted clear tube that turns mechanically. It looks very real, without using any water at all.

  27. One of those is in Finnish amusement park called “Särkänniemi”. We had fun staring at it with my friends…

  28. I saw this at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not in Williamsburg,VA. But it was a smaller version. It had to fit indoors.

  29. meh ive seen one before in france n it was sitten in the middle of a roundabount whn we drove past it n its gt better colours n i think that they have made it so the colour of the water changes .

  30. I’ve been to that, it’s in malta
Actually, it was a long time ago, so it could have been when i visited Majorca/Menorca

  31. there is one such magic tap illusion displayed in the ripley’s believe it or not museum in innovative filmcity, bangalore, karnataka, india. it sure is amazing

  32. Clearly it’s photoshopped, just look at the water coming out near the top left side, it just seems odd, and if there were a clear pipe, both water and the pipe itself would shummer in the sun, this could also be some tricky guy with good wallpapering skills sink. This just seems to outrageous to be real.

  33. There’s one at the water collection station in Oostduinkerke, Belgium

not photoshopped at all and quite puzzling when you see it as a child :D took me a long time to figure this out

  34. I have seen it, it is in Aquapark Octopus in canary islands, well I can belive theres many of those around, the watersupply pipe, which also keeps it in air, is in the shower..

  35. Is it necessary to keeep galss tube…can it work widout it??..plzz help me v r doing a project on it..!!!

  36. i know how its done they have one almost just like it out side of the Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum in St. Augustin FL the faucet is on top of a clear pipe that sucks the water up and then it spills out back down appearing to come from the faucet and hiding the pipe

  37. I’ve seen them in a number of places including a Ripley’s Believe it or not museum and outside a Redwood City, California movie theater.

  38. all the people saying it is a pipe are wrong i dont know how it works but i have seen one in real life and you can put your hand through the water so yeah…

    1. There was one of these inside the slanted house at Astroworld back in the 70’s. When I worked there I got the guys who ran the shack to let me see the “magic” behind the scenes.

There was in fact a clear pipe that pumped water up into the faucet it supported and it fell back down the sides of the same pipe, concealing the fact the pipe existed. To prove it was actual water, the host would run his hand “through” the water and splash some on the audience. Actually, they would just hit the very edge of the stream of water, adding to the illusion that there was no support.

  39. Okay, first off, imagine there is a clear, plastic tube, it’s attached to a golden faucet, the plastic tube is attached to the pond below so it can pump water and never run out. Simple.

  40. mmm i’ve seen it in a ripley’s museum, touched it and was amazed and my friend suggests that there is a pipe that pumps upwards inside the stream of water

  41. In China they have a structure like that. They turn off the water sometimes allowing you to see what is going on. There is a clear pipe that is sort of the “water” stream. The pipe holds up the tap. The pipe sucks up water then at the top the water washs over the pipe so you can not see it. Cool really.

  42. I want to install in our office as a sample oif this fountain. Can u please tell me where i can buy this pipe and the details of this cool tape.

  43. sooo bored of it u got 2 agree with me ps lookin 4 a good riddle 4 my friend got any ? se y asoon :)

  44. this is the explanation :
Water flowing inside and outside the plastic pipe through a pump from covered bottom part of the exhibit gives an illusion as if the water is flowing down from the magic tap without a water connection. This illusion is created, as the eye cannot distinguish the boundary of the water and plastic pipe having nearly equal refractive indices.

  45. I have seen such magic tap at Ripley’s Believe it OR Not museum downtown San Antonio, Tx. There is a pipe in the middle of the running water, holding the tap up and sucking the water to come out of the tap. The pipe is hidden by the falling water.

  46. When I was 9 years old my grandparents took me to a “Ghost Town” Amusement Park. They showed me the “towns water source” which was a modern hose faucet hung in the air with wire & water running out seemingly from nowhere. It supposedly was found by the towns founder in the 1800’s. Now I was just going into the fifth grade (5th graders were the oldest in my school) & I didn’t want to be treated like a kid so I smugly pointed out that it wasn’t a 1800’s faucet & the water ran over a clear tube stuck in the faucet. Ok so I was a brat but the point is a kid can figure this out.
