How Many Dogs Do You See?

The original question that follows this optical illusion, is how many dogs are present in the picture below? The answer shouldn’t be too hard to see, but can probably confuse you. Instead, I’m asking you – Do you notice anything strange about dogs below? There definitely is something going on, but you’ll need a second or two to process the information to your brain. Not the best illusion I saw, but never the less entertaining one (at least for a minute or so…) – © G. Sarcone

  1. The legs are all messed up on the dogs! The hind legs are higher than the front ones! And yes, I see 4 dogs.

That was a stupid illusion. I know you can find better ones than that!!
    <3333 :)

  2. This is absolutely ridiculous…there is no illusion, its just a bad drawing…maybe if the feet weren’t there you could suggest an illusion…but it just looks like a drunk has had a go at drawing some dogs…and got it extremely wrong…

  3. hmmmmm… not sure. someone tell me please!!!!!!!! i think i might know but i cant be sure. is it the fact that the front left paw of the dog in back looks like it is in the head of the other dog?????? someone please explain.

  4. well I know what kind of trick is supposed to be but there are always 2 legs missing.
I looks better on my google home page since the picture is smaller

  5. WTF, I don’t think there are any dogs there, the lines don’t add up. But I would love the standard explanation that does not seem to be included with this illusion. WTF.

  6. the bottom half of the dog is above the top half. same with the other. its really cool :) not really an illusion, but really cool :)

  7. worst illusion ever.

    what is the point?!

are you that short of illusions? i thought u said u had so many that u cant possibly post all of then]m a few weeks ago, just post them! there must be some decent ones there?! surely!

  8. Well, my guess of how many dogs is 4, but that seems too obvious.

Anyway, the dogs that are missing the heads seem to be actually stepping on the the backs of the dogs in front (that we can see their heads).

  9. Nice illusion, very similar to the elephant one, though if you count the total number of legs, there are only 8, so “how many dogs are there?” isn’t a very appropriate question for this one.

  10. I do not understand why some of you are so negative. If you don’t like the site leave. If you think you can do better, do so. If not try some manners and respect.

  11. i was the first person to originaly comment on this illusion. and u didnt even put it up. ur a sick bastard u no that?

  12. wow i left that stupid comment about the hand of the dog in the other’s head. i feel REALLLLLLLY stupid now…. :((((

  13. there are no dogs. just 2 dog heads and 2 dog tails and some random legs and brown patches everywhere. i rekon its pretty kool.

    1. well there r 3. it took me a while to figure it out, but finally, i got it and its 3. bcuz there r 2 dog heads, and they have mostly their full body. then there r 2 half dogs. so 2 halfs, wud be 1. so 2 complete dogs, and 1 other complete dog (not really there both halfs) is 3… right??? idk maybe its 2. or none at all. i really cant get the answer. my best answer is 3. but also none. bcuz the ‘complete’ dogs, arent really complete, so none of them r full dogs… so there r either 3, or none at all. lolz. long comment of confusingness. so yeah either 3 or none.

  14. It seems like 4 but I think its really 3 because there are two with full bodies and the other “2” dont have a head so its a half. And 1/2 + 1/2 = 3 :)

  15. i think i see like 3. bcuz there r 2… but like half and half, so half plus half is 1, right? so 2 plus 1 is three.. so wouldn’t it be 3?

  16. There is one dog in the \middle with a messed up back. Then a front half and back half of a dog which has been chewed in half by the !st dog. HEEE HAAA suckas

  17. Usually its 2 dogs cause these dogs are half the dogs with the heads have no rear legs and the rear legs does not have a head so half plus half equals 1 but theres four halfs so that makes 2 dogs

    1. updated! it was written all the way back in 2007, weren’t aware of the author then. thx
