Funny Lookin’ Arch Optical Illusion

Ola! Impossible objects in real life were always one of my favorite structure illusions. I enjoy seeing them around me, which I actually don’t, since nothing interesting concerning optical illusions is happening in my neighborhood. Anyone knows where this strange arch is located? Never-Neverland, Sweden,…?

Anyhow, you probably noticed I’m huuugely uninspired today, so if you want to check more stuff of this kind, check the NEW “sister” site my cousin Boycie started – Mighty Flicks. If you have keen eye for details, you will notice a similarity in design, the poor guy obviously wants to copy me! Or is it just another illusion? Nah, just kiddin’. If you like to see some interesting daily flicks, you can track changes he does daily, and see if he gets the grip (RSS!). What are your predictions? Will his site become famous like Moillusions.com once did, or will it silently decay like Mighty Tricks did? I encourage you to check Mighty Flicks, and share your advices/ideas with Mr. Boycie there.

  1. The girl in the swing looks painted to me. Therefore, I don’t think its real at all. However, the grass, trees, and road look real, so maybe someone took a photo and modified it to add the arches and the girl.

  2. Looks photo-shopped to me. No shadow for the girl on the swing, the point where the right arch joins the left arch is odd.

    Fun but not real.

  3. First of it looks fake. Also if it was real it would just be a perspective thing. In otherwords taken from just the right angle but i think its just photoshopped

  4. Its not photoshopped. its hard to explain but there is a shadow for the girl too. the camera angle just makes it look like an allusion.

    awesome illusion though.

  5. i think there is a shadow of the girls, its just hidden in the crack from the grass and second walkway thing…it looks TOTALLY photoshoped!!

  6. What a complete and utter waste of internet space! What is the significance, it’s so obviously fake; so much so that is makes me shake my head in disbelief?! Utter tosh!!!

  7. Of course it is photoshopped. Look at the lighting. The sun comes from the left due to the shadows on the ground. How then is the front of the structure COMPLETELY lit up? Also, the girl leaves no shadow.
How any of you can think this is remotely real astonishes me.

  8. Definitely photoshopped. Look at the lower part of the rightmost column of stones. You can see that, in order to make the column taller, some of the stones are exact duplicates of each other.

  9. that is cool! photoshopped, but cool.
people, PLEASE stop saying “first post, yay” usually you are not the first post, and it just looks stupid, and whats so great about being first anyway?

I love this web sight, by the way!

  10. of course its fake and been photoshopped it was entered into a PHOTOSHOP COMPETITION … T_T

  11. YES , SEE THE CHILD SWING BETWEEN TWO PILLARS..NOW WHERE IS THE SITUATION OF THESE PILLARS.ONE PILLAR IS THIS SIDE FROM THE WAY(ROAD) AND ANOTHER ONE IS OTHER SIDE.IF U SEE THOROLY…U WILL GET CONFUSED.
GR8 WHO’S THIS ONE. WHO MADE IT VERY NICLY. APPRECIATE

  12. I wasn’t too sure about it’s authenticity either until I clicked on it and saw the larger picture of it. From that, you can plainly see that the back piller is straight, the middle one has a bend in it and the closest one has an obvious mark as to where it bends back even further. I’m sure that if seen from any other angle, even slightly off, would show how it is made. {I Think}

  13. You’re all morons. It’s fake because the perspective of the little girl is wrong. Only way she could be swinging from the pillars is if she was facing to the left, not the right. Any attempt to explain why she’s facing the wrong way, would simply indicate that her shadow is in the wrong spot.

I can’t believe this was ever posted on this site. It’s not any more an illusion than a drawing of an impossible object.

  14. it probably is photoshop but if you want to be technical the girls shadow would be masked by the pillars shadow.
