This cool 3D flash animation let’s you zoom in forever. I’ve saw it before, but lately many people suggested this to be put online, so here it is! Enjoy! Click here, and start zooming! (It’s 1MB big .swf file, so wait till the progress bar reaches it’s end!). You can click and drag up or down with your mouse to zoom in and out.

this is nice, but where’s the illusion?
Look at this for a real “zoom”/continous motion illusion

Interesting… very artistic, yet I wonder who has the time to put into designing that.

  5. Eshita says:

Its kind of a loop. After some time it comes to the starting pic

  6. mrmojorisingi says:

Seriously. Fix your grammar. It’s really annoying.

Remember: no apostraphe if it’s possesion, but use one if it’s a constraction if “it is.”

  7. Alex says:

    Excellent illusion.

  8. JayJay says:

hey mrmojo – you can correct other people’s punctuation (not grammar) just as soon as you learn how to spell…

  9. Pembo says:

    Grammar is punctuation….

what is it i can,t see it

People stop being grammar-natzis and just enjoy! If you want to know where the illusion is, its in the zooming. Aplette seems to zoom but we know that it can not actually “zoom” so the smooth movement of objects is what does it. Very nice.

However there is an added bonus! If you zoom for a good while in the picture while looking at the center. When you stop zooming the still frame will seem to buldge around the center, well at least for me I experienced that.

  19. Anonymous says:

The illusion: zoom in for a while, and then suddenly stop. You will see that the picture slowly starts to “rearrange”. Your brain automatically expected the zoom-in to continue, hence pre-enlarged the relevant part of the picture.

thats cool my bro liked it

this is soooo not true this is just a circular picture/animation if you go for a couple of seconds youll notice the same things its still cool though

  23. sneezleweasle says:

I’ve seen that before at POQbum.com.Its really cool illusion because it seems like it just starts over but it actually is just going and going and going…

  24. Lorken says:

Nice ! And I just discovered that if you zoom in fast and for a long time, it is like another illusion :

    But maybe I’m too tired…

  25. Anonymous says:

I’m thinking a screen saver of this would be awesome.

  26. Nigel says:

After a while of zooming, you will see a guy with grey/green skin, on his shirt is a barcode; let’s give a “woot woot” for Scott Blake!

(btw, TAKE THAT, mrmoj! I used both better spelling than you AND used a semi-colon in correct context!)(I know that looked like an emoticon but it isn’t.)

  27. Sj x says:

That is really cool it just keeps going on and on and on! it like a really cool loop and eventually you get back to the starting screen! I love it its awesome!!!

  28. oa65 says:

I wonder if there’s a rule that says these things all have to be grotesque and nightmarish? I Googled Zoomquilt and everything was disturbing.

  29. Home is where you hang your @ says:

Pffft. You people fail at spelling.

    ITS FUNNY BECAUSE YOUR’LL IDIOTS.

    • Jennifer says:

Hey , you can’t spell or use punctuation either , what does your’ll mean? so stop being so mean to others. It’s alot easier to be nice.
