VIDEO 3D Perspective Illusion

I’ve been observing lately which of the posts get most of your attention, and unsurprisingly it turns out those articles featuring a video of some sort gained most recognition. So, let me show you another interesting optical illusion video dealing with perspective. It works in a similar manner Vans commercial did. You can see an even better example used for this Optical Illusion printer.

So go ahead, and before you start playing the video below – guess which of the objects are real, and which aren’t!

Have you guessed correctly? There is even an online tutorial posted on Istructables where you can learn how to make similar perspective illusions of your own! Check what one our fans, a well known Tattoo artist Greg “Grease” Lehman, did by himself! Hope you liked this video as much as I did…

    1. If you look to the right, you will find a navigation bar called “Archives & Categories”. There, you can select a month and it will return a list of all the optical illusions posted in that month in chronological order. That is the closest you can get to seeing the previous illusion.

    2. At the top of the page in the address bar, delete the bit after the last back slash (video 3d etc) then hit enter. That will take you to all the illusions for this month (2012-feb) and they are listed with the most recent at the top of the page. You can change the month too (ie 2012/01/ if there was a particular one from a few weeks ago that you want to see again).

    3. Thanks for constructive ideas guys! just added the new “previous illusion” and “home” button next to the “random illusion” button below each post!! Please report how you like it?

    1. I can’t see it either. I get a black video screen and it appears to be “trying” to load, but doesn’t.

  1. Too bad the video doesn’t actually give you other vertical angles to see the illusion. After watching the video, I’m still guessing shich object are real and which aren’t. It seems like just lowering or raising the vertical angle would show the illusion so clearly. Maybe the point was to keep a little mystery. I don’t know.

  2. Kinda makes you doubt your own perception, doesn’t it? We can probably apply the same principle to everything around us. I don’t believe anything I hear and only half of what I see. In other words, “prove all things, hold fast that which is good.”

  3. To see the previous illusion you’d have to look under ARCHIVES & CATEGORIES in a small box in the far right column, to the right of CATEGORIES. Choose February and then scroll to the second box down.

Vurdlak, you should add a “Previous illusion” link directly below the illusion of the day’s title. People are used to that.

  4. i dont think its really a “next” button – more a “other” button… because what’s next? tomorrow?

although a button to go back to yesterday’s would be a nice option

  5. I guessed correctly!
The cap of the glue bottle looked suspiciously flat and of course if the glue was flat, the glasses had to be too.

  6. I can’t see the video either. I get the video screen, but it’s just black, and it appears to be trying to load, but doesn’t.

  7. Toooo easy to spot!
Saw which were real and fake instantly.
But then, maybe that’s because I’m a graphic designer and work with graphic and printing every day.

  8. from the very begining you can tell that the cards are placed there. it took me a moment to realize that the shell thing was actually placed there i thought that is was apart of the paper but over all this was a very easy illusion to desifer.
