Tree of Life Optical Illusion

Robert T. Gonzalez of io9.com concluded there isn’t a person in this world who doesn’t love tree rings. This in itself should be reason enough to appreciate this beautiful poster created by Gary, Aaron & Khairul (degreeĀ°).

But there is much more to it than meets the eye – if look at the poster from up-close you’ll find an entirely new reason to love it! Originally titled Tree of Life, this unique poster aims to highlight the responsibility we have in letting animal species thrive in their natural environment. As authors have said themselves: “We have a choice whether or not to preserve nature and let it grow. Specially designed to assert this crucial message, it forms the basis of social attitudes towards Mother Nature for the many people out there who want to make a difference in our world..”

The lives of animals revolve around their living space, the rainforest. And since animals are not able to speak for themselves, the destruction of their habitat leaves them suffering in silence.

  1. I love stuff like this. Subtle yet meaningful illusions that I would love to have on my wall, or in some cases, t-shirts.

  2. Is Man included?
Discussion is always half silent, as one thinks of what’s discussed…(moillusions rox!)

Those ones are not, however, silent.
For each one breathing has an accent…

Do you, nestled in the comfort of the masses,
    have ‘A’ (singular) Life?
If not, might be the truth that people have yet to begin, not advanced… but still oblivious

  3. It was difficult because you didn’t mention anything about the illusion itself, but now I get it! Just great, I would love to have this poster hanging from my wall.

  4. OH i didnt getit at first but i took a closer look at the close up picture of the trunk, for those who dont understand, the lines are made up of animals! amazing!
