I always loved Rusty’s illusory paintings, mostly because they look so nice, and all of them carry special atmosphere surrounding them. Rusty’s works sometimes include hard to find hidden stuff, but most of the time the illusion is simple and not so hard to spot at all! Yet each of his works turns out beautiful! Check the awkwardly named “Two Birds With One Stone” piece portrayed below. The huntsmen and his dog are preying on the harmless pheasant, while at the same time not being aware there is much bigger forest spirit guarding over the poor prey, carefully observing next step hunter is about to make. Hope you have a nice day, started by this relaxing story!

Art done by American artist Donald Rust “Rusty” is already well recognized within our optical illusion community (The Hidden Tiger!). It’s actually quite strange we haven’t already featured this one below, as it stands as one of Rusty’s more prominent works. Depict below, a romantic scenery includes it all – an idilic porch, a swan, mountains in a distance and an intimate moment shared by young couple. But wait! Is the scenery truly intimate? If you look better you will see there is an intruder present! Actually when you find him, you’ll realize “intruder” might be too strong of a word for him. The man instead excellently contributes to the whole moment. He even masked himself not to distract the young couple. Well done Rusty, well done!

Update: in deed, it seems that the artist behind this one isn’t Rusty, but in fact Bev Doolittle. Thanks to all of you who pointed it out!

Donald “Rusty” Rust is an artist with a repertoire as extensive as his talent. He is an immensely prolific painter, who adeptly renders intriguing camouflage wildlife scenes, landscapes, seascapes, still-life’s and portraits. If you think you never heard of him, well he was the one responsible for our most commented optical illusion ever – The Hidden Tiger. Many other successful illusions from our archive were created by Rusty as well. This time Rusty draw a landscape with a Native American portrayed inside it. But our little Indian isn’t the only living thing inside this picture. Can you see what else Rusty tried to hide from us (for reasons unknown to me)? Shouldn’t be too hard for you, optical illusion veterans .
