I had these photos in my queue for some time now, yet never felt they deserve their own separate post each. What about if I put them all up as a collection? Do you believe all four of them combined can slip through, eventually? Anyway, if you don’t see them as true illusions, they still make you think for a second before you start laughing, don’t they? Giant Turtle Optical Illusion

Rob Samborn sent me the attached photo on Wednesday. What it appears to be is a woman playing with a happy giant turtle. Maybe this isn’t one of the best optical illusions the world has seen, but Rob managed to trick me, and this isn’t something that happens so often to a “self-proclaimed” optical illusion professional like me.

If you’re wondering why there was no update on Saturday, I can assure you it was an isolated incident, because it took almost whole day to reinstall my PC. I have formatted my disk and finally decided to give Win 7 a try. You know how it is when you’re updating your operating system, installing programs, drivers, etc – a never ending story.

Horse Pill Optical Illusion

Got this vintage poster from somewhere, and took me ages to see the illusion. The problem was I had trouble understanding the instructions written on top of the poster, so I simply ignored them and did this my way. My advice would be to look at the picture as if you were staring at some stereogram. Now switch from normal to cross-eyed view (cross your eyes as if you had strabismus), and repeat this procedure back and forth. Do you see the hand with the “ball” going towards horse’s mouth? It shouldn’t be much of a problem. What bugs me, is that I don’t see the “ball” being ball at all! What I see is someone trying to drug the horse with steroids, in order to win a horse-race! Am I the only one who finds this unethical and simply wrong? Perhaps it’s just my twisted-gambling character speaking here!

Cheating Amish Optical Illusion

I had some friends visit me over the last few days, so most of the time I was showing them around the island, and making sure Korcula stays in good memory to them. Unfortunately you were the ones that were left behind, having no benefit from this. I hope I will make things up by posting this latest “spot the object” optical illusion. This is how I see this image: there is a young Amish sitting on a horse, staring at the barn. He noticed that something is wrong here. What he is seeing should be forbidden to his people (if I’m not mistaken), yet the object is standing there without mistake. Can you tell me what did the boy see? If you think the story behind this should go a little different, feel free to correct me. Enjoy!
