He has been sending us incredible optical illusions all the way back in 2006. You can check the underlined words in this text to see all his previous submissions.

This time he did something really awesome. By now, you’ve probably seen all the 3D Anamorphic pictures that Julian Beever has drawn on the sidewalks, if not check the first category in our sidebar. Well, this is Greg’s version of doing it, simply by printing anamorphic images on paper, of from his computer. Off course, he did a chalk drawings of them first. Can you tell which of these objects are the REAL thing?

Grease, if you’re reading this I still have some of your previous unpublished illusions in my draft, but never managed to publish them. Hopefully one day I will :) Oh and btw, Greg “The Grease” is the owner of top tattoo studio. If he is so good in optical illusions and art in general, I’m sure his tattoos are among the best ones out there! Would be interesting to see more of his tattooed optical illusions, what you think?

This was his email: “Hello Vurdlak, I was looking at your COLOR TILE ILLUSION. I believe the illusion works this way. The center brown cube on the top is the exact same color as the yellow cube in the center, on the shadow side. GREAT website… Keep up the great work.” This optical illusion belongs to “Color Adapting” category, where you can find more awesome color illusions. Specially check those tests, that point if you are color blind!

First time he stumbled upon our website, was when he first found out we have featured one of his Tattoo’s. This time he creates rather interesting “Transparent Screen” optical illusion. Using a “mysterious” computer program, Greg managed to print and assemble 3D model of a Beer can, and align it in front of the monitor, in a way that it feels like he is taking the can right out of the monitor’s screen. Spooky and effective! He also sent a simple email aside: “Mr. Vurdlak, here is one (illusion) I made today.. No photo-shop involved.. I kinda like it.. – Grease”.

Don’t believe I would paint this on my hand, though… It was submitted by Aaron Leon Christopher Sanders (cool name dude!), and Aaron wrote: “Not so much an illusion, but I think it works. I came across it checking out tattoo designs”. Also check: body paint illusion, as well as painted faces. I just found out this artwork was done by Greg Grease Lehman, webmaster of Tattoo’s from Grease.
