Gizmodo published a story recently, concerning what appears to be a real-life version of an old school Rabbit-Duck optical illusion. The original was a memorable example, where if you looked at it one way it was a rabbit, but in the same time it could also resemble a duck. I hope this one’s just a hoax (like Fiji Mermaid was), but I’ll let you decide. Was it after all some crafty taxidermist, who recreated the effect in real life??? If so, I just hope you don’t consider this a DIY type of post. For more similar examples, check out another real life Rabbit-Duck, Frog-Horse or Young Lady-Old Hag illusions…

Don’t get angry on me today… I know this illusion is nothing spectacular, but it’s still regular, and has that old-school smell. What do you see in the picture on your right? Is it a dead duck (lying one for animal lovers), or a hiding rabbit? I dunno, but what I know is that we had three versions of this very same illusion already. First one was more than simple, then came the second (enhanced) version, and finally – there was this photoshop contest, where authors created Modern Reflections of Some Old School optical illusions.

If you ask me, I sill think Frog or a Horse wins it. Anyway, I found this rubber toy floating around the internet, and if you take a closer look, you’ll see it’s some sort of real-life replica of today’s illusion. Sit the toy in one position, you get a duck, slant it to the right, you get a rabbit. How do they expect us play with it, when we don’t even know what it is!! *Shigh…

What each blogger experiences throughout his writing career, and what is currently happening to me is a lack of motivation and writer’s block. I’m kind of a webmaster that keeps his motivation by constantly “inventing” something, and having new ideas for this site. Don’t get me wrong – I’m perfectly aware this site is far from being perfect, but somehow I’m not particularly sure where to tunnel my motivation next. This is where you jump in: I would like as many of you possible, to suggest me what would you like to see more of on this website. Is it more optical illusions articles, new template functions, more videos? Featured games maybe? The idea I’m stuck with for some time now, is figuring how to find professional writers to help me write new articles. I’m capable of paying for each article, but I’m very picky about who I let access to this website. Is it so hard to find a person that does a good job writing stuff, had some experience with WordPress and would like to get payed for their work? Apparently it is. But let’s not change the subject. What I’m asking from you (apart from spotting the hunter’s prey in the optical illusion below), is to post your suggestions and ideas what would you like to see on this website, and keep moillusions.com as one of your favorite online destinations? Help me get some tasks, and I’ll be more than glad to brainstorm and figure out how to implement them.
