Spot The Black and White Cows!

This optical illusion picture was taken from the Little Giant Book of Optical Illusions by Keith Kay, where it was originally presented as a puzzling pattern containing hidden black and white cows. As easy it was for me to spot the one hidden cow in it (what’s with all them cow illusions?!), I was never able to see any other cows present. What do you make of it? BTW, this kind of Rorschach Test optical illusions proved quite popular in our archives, so make sure you check our spot the object category for more -they should be buried somewhere in there…

There was this cow… everybody knew she was special, but no one could say why. She wasn’t particularly good at math, she didn’t produce world’s best milk, she didn’t have any connection with world’s most famous chocolate brand to push her in showbiz, yet even in her early days she showed great talent for optical illusions! This was the category she truly conquered. Even further, she brought great joy to everyone she met. Can you see why she is so special? If you have no clue whatsoever, you may want to check her distant relative first – obviously the talent runs in her family!

Elephant’s Head or a Cow?

Noah Robin sent in what appears to be a Hindu motive obtained from the ceiling of the Rameshwaram Temple in Rameshwaram, India. Noah was right when he presumed this one seems to be along our lines. My question to you is whether the head portrayed below belongs to an elephant or is it cow’s head instead? I guess whichever is holier in that part of the world! Or could it be both at the same time? I guess we’ll never know!

Cosmopolitan Optical Illusion

Can you detect a hidden “illusion“ in these two photographs? It shouldn’t be too hard, and the illusion is quite similar in both images. It took me few seconds before I figured the cow one, so decided to share with you to test your senses. The only problem with these two, is once you figure them out, there’s no going back. Photoshopped? Most definitely!

Colored Cow Optical Illusion

So I did something extremely important today. I have upgraded this WordPress blog to the newest 2.8.4 security update, just to make sure we’re safe from newest hacker attacks (more here). It took me more than I imagined. After all the work has been done, I had to make sure everything still functions properly. By now all of the widgets should continue to work as previously, but I still need your feedback. Please comment if you noticed anything strange using the site, or had problem seeing illusions in your widgets.

Apart from all this, check our newest optical illusion below! If you stare at the fly sitting in the center of the yellow-blue pattern on the right for a minute or so, and then switch your view onto the fly on your left – you’ll experience one interesting effect! Normally the cow photo looks divided into two different colored surfaces, but if you follow the previously mentioned procedure correctly – the cow photo fill appear perfectly normal. Yes, its similar to our prehistoric colored baby and hydroplane illusions! Please don’t forget to comment how the widgets behave at your end!

What Does This Black & White Photo Show?

Can you guess what does this image show? No? Don’t worry, it isn’t one of those Sigmund Freud testing cards. I can assure you it is actually an original (old) photograph, made in black and white technique, and wasn’t digitally tempered in any way. The solution is quite simple, in fact.
