I took this photo the other night, but only when viewing it later did I realize I could see a face looking back at me. It’s not the greatest illusion, but on the bottom right (where the grass and clouds interact) you can see what vaguely looks like a face. Do you see it’s eyes, nose & mouth? This has had no manipulation done on it. Perhaps if it did, I could make it look even better. Keep up the good work. Your optical illusion of the day is a good start to a normal working day for me. Spot on – I was about to say much the same thing before I saw this comment…
We are basically “hard wired” to see faces; we create them in the foliage of trees, in clouds, the Moon… even the brown discolouration of a toasted cheese sandwich caused quite a stir (and a bidding war on Ebay!) because someone saw “the Face of Jesus” in their breakfast! :-/

Oh okay I see the image now its in the lower right of the image right before the grass. Try closing your eyes for a few seconds and then look again you should see it.
I see the face just fine. It took me a moment, but I can see it now. And the tassel on the end of the really tall grass on the right kinda looks like a person hanging on for dear life to me.
Yes, the human brain is hardwired to see faces where there are none. So are most digital cameras these days. I’m not sure why people are complaining about this, though, because that’s basically the concept behind any “double meaning” or “hidden image” type picture.
