Starbucks Relativity Optical Illusion

So, I’m a prophet now? Hehe, really liked that particular comment in my previous post :) Seems we have reached a point, where all those optical illusion billboard ads start to repeat themselves. Same goes for other types of illusions too. But as you see, I try to reduce the effect by posting only the most attractive ones. Today’s example is a homage to Escher’s Relativity; Starbucks used it in a way to promote their coffee brand. It caught my attention, I admit… But Beyonce Henry Lim had the best Relativity homage ever!!!

  2. Did Star Bucks actually make this picture? It’s pretty horrible to be honest. The perspective for the signs and the interiors for the shops are all wrong for the most part. Cool idea though, but poorly done.

  3. it really does make you feel that starbucks is there for you…lol but i also feel kind of trapped when looking at it which is a negative effect for them.

  4. Don’t like it. Sorry. Starbucks always burn the milk and where do they get their beans? Rubbish rubbish.

  6. Starbucks’ coffee is okay if you chew it really well. On these stairs there could be a problem with spillage. Come to think of it, that might not be a bad thing.

  7. Oh please. You can do the same thing with a 7-11, or a McDonalds. But the worst thing is… it’s still a rip off of the original. Same thing, just themed differently.

If I was a copyright lawyer, I’d be reviewing with the decendants of Escher, and talking about a lawsuit against Starbucks. Talk about a goldmine! Cha-Ching!!

  8. just be careful as not to spill your coffee while walking up and down those stairs. got migraine? caffeine intake will do more good than harm.
