We got ourselves another simple, yet interesting illusion. This one was also submitted by one of our fans; Simon David posted it, plus provided description. Do you see imaginary black stripes?
Simon: “A simple illusion, black strips running bottom-left to top-right.”
Another interesting one! Before I explain it to you how it works, try to figure what’s the illusion below? Then open this post and see the solution. Pretty amazing…
Here are some of my other scary optical illusions. Most of them show you an “idle” picture of a woman, young couple or children. On a first glaze pictures look normal, but when you stop concetrating on minor details, figure of an unholy presence strucks you… Scary! Go inside this post for more pictures. If you like beeing scared, check “Scariest optical illusion”, “Scary Illusion no.3″ and “Scary Illusion no.4″.
In addition to “Painted Trucks” and “More Painted Trucks”, here’s another painted truck optical illusion. This one is a commercial for plumbing services, hope you like it as much as I do. Seems this week has some kind of painted trucks aura! Oh, this illusion was also posted by one of our fans! Thanks Kimmy!
Kimmy writes: “Here’s a painted truck illusion I thought you might like for your site. I’ve been enjoying your site and all the fun stuff on it.”
Remember one of my previous posts, called “Painted Trucks”? I wasn’t sure will I publish them since they were made in photoshop and not in real life, but just received a news update: It was a competition in Germany, where the winner pictures were approved and then applyed on real trucks! Here are the results! Thnks to Rich for providing us info. Rich wrote:
“You are right that previous particular images are Photoshopped, but they were designs for real truck canvasses for the Rhino Rolling Ads competition in Germany. Some of them were made into real canvassess and the photos of the real trucks are just as impressive”.
Maybe not an orthodox optical illusion, we could also discuss its tastefulness, but at the end we end up with this really funny illusion of a man who eat too much of spicy food. This illusion was also submitted by one of our fans, Lucas Cantor.
Allright, just got this picture. Your assignment: try to spot where lyes the optical illusion in the image below. Then, when you think of the solution, jump inside this post to see the answer. I would like to hear your comment – have you solved it yourself?..oh, and be honest ;) !
The image above gives you idea dog is simply painted on the tea cup. While, this partially is true, the illusion is that part of the image is “pulled” outside of the cup’s body and made 3D (dogs head), which makes it interesting to spot where the transition took place!
Here are some more images of animal-shaped coffe cups:
It looks like our website, Mighty Optical Illusions started to get regular user-submissions… Hurray! Don’t forget to send us your illusions, if you also are in possesion of some. Francisco Delgado sent us this two pictures (2nd image is inside the post) of a building that seems normal at the first eye glance. However, the illusion is that it’s corner, as though it appears having angle of 90º, instead is much smaller! Francisco’s also wrote a description: “I send you two pictures of a building in Salamanca, Spain, whose lines are a bit strange… Something seems to be not quite right. It’s not even a matter of perspective! It’s just that the building’s corner doesn’t make a 90º angle but a much smaller one.”
