Nice trees, aren’t they (other pictures are inside the post)? There’s just one problem… these aren’t trees at all! Actually it’s a homage to the fake trees that disguise USA cell phone towers. Have you ever noticed them? Well I think the idea is more than great! Having them hiddious cell-towers, is necessary, but with a bit of imagination and artistic touch, you can transform them in such way, that very few would spot they’re fake. These Sham Shrubs have been manufactured so that you and I can communicate with each other, while protecting our delicate aesthetic sensibilities. They’re hidden pretty well. Justin Carter experienced weird situation. While eating his meal in House of Pie (Houston, Texas), he noticed something was wrong. As you see, the mirror at the side helped in creating this funny situation. Something simmilar was posted earlier, I think it was posted to “Flickr Illusions” category. Be sure to check it also.

Shiv Bansal submitted this unusual optical illusion. As you might have noticed, we are always trying to move the boundaries in this wonderfull world of visual phenomena – and this illusion is a perfect case. Here’s how Shiv explained it:

“This work was in relation to my coursework as business school. I had to give a note this illusion in my paper. See the attached graph and answer the question…What is the value of MBS market (bottom green area) in 2005 – is it less than 5000, or greater than 5000?

Most people would say that it is less than 5000 – reality is that it is more than 5000 – it’s an accident – I made the graph, and was having hard time to find why was excel giving me a wrong graph. I was plotting a figure of greater than 5000 and it was showing me less than 5000 and then i took a scale to see the exact value – and it was all right – it was more than 5000!“

So simple, yet so effective! If anyone knows where I can buy this kind of T-Shirts, please post it under comments. As you see this girls wears a shirt that says “Hate”, making her pretty dangerous girl, but not many know her secret. Infact, she is really not so bad – when you read the message on her t-shirt in other direction, you will see her tender side comes out. Enjoy!
