This is big! Few days ago, responsible person from “Aerosmith” Rock band contacted me. They wanted to discuss usage of some of our optical illusions for their new album cover! Heres where you come in, our faithfull audience – They were interested escpecially in two pictures you may find inside this post (2nd and 3rd picture). Can someone track the original author of these two pictures? Can you find the High-Resoultion copies of them? To give you a little present, here’s the pre-made cover art they made for now. Do you like it?

This cool 3D flash animation let’s you zoom in forever. I’ve saw it before, but lately many people suggested this to be put online, so here it is! Enjoy! Click here, and start zooming! (It’s 1MB big .swf file, so wait till the progress bar reaches it’s end!). You can click and drag up or down with your mouse to zoom in and out.

User called Wendell sent in this photo few weeks ago. If you read carefully what he wrote, and open this picture in full size, you will see a neat optical illusion – at least it amazed me! Wendell: “I cropped this image for my web sight, and found it funny that the photo no longer appears rectangular. It’s not much of an illusion, but I thought of your site when I saw it. Does the photo appears larger on the right to you?”

This is what just came in! I’ll let Carpathia explain this one: “Hi there…. I really love your site!!! I was browsing through the internet one day looking for kitten pictures to cheer up my friend when I ran across this picture (see the attached file). I can’t take credit for it, I found it on catsizeentertainment.com – Still, I thought that it was a great illusion. Obviously there are two cats, but at first glance you think that the one cat has a REALLY long neck!” ~Carpathia (Jackson, MS)

This one will load for a little bit since it’s 200kb big, but still – a great animation! Huge THANK YOU goes to James aka “access-denied” that provided me with free hosting solution on his server! If you like this flick, be sure to thank James in comments ;) As you see, this gif file looks 3D/Stereo even without wearing those red and blue glasses that you get in some stereo-vision cinemas. Did you like this one as well as I did?

Would you believe me if I told you that this fantastic portico doesn’t really exist! It’s “just” a mural, and what A Mural, I must say! It was painted by artist named Richard Haas on the facade of the Brotherhood building in Cincinnati, Ohio in year 1983. This Mural is real example of trompe l’oeil (“to deceive the eye”) or faux finishes, how some call them. Do you like it?

Kristo Hyka sent in this photo few weeks ago. He wrote: “This heart is made from light and shadows in Egaleo of Athens, Greece. Words were made by me with photoshop, and the illusion works only in the morning hours.” Can you see the heart? It’s easy to spot, at least it was for me…

Hearts In Atlantis, erm... Athens
