I just finished posting an interesting Interactive Magic Trick, on Mighty Tricks homepage, and now came here to update you with newest optical illusion for today. I just hope it already became your habit to check both websites when one is updated. This is because I update both sites at the same time, just one after another. If you want to be the first to know when the site’s are updated, you should better subscribe to our widgets or RSS feeds for both sites.

I’m sorry that in every post I babble about Mighty Tricks website, but you have to realize that it’s a new project of mine, and I’m just trying to make it more popular, informing wider public about it. Now let’s jump to our new illusion. For today I prepared an interesting spot the object painting, created by American wildlife artist Rusty Rust, that shows a huge Bengal Tiger standing in a bamboo forest. We had a similar Lion Illusion, Panda Bears Illusion, Wolves Illusion, and many more… If you are asking yourself why Rusty named this picture “The Hidden Tiger“, your assignment is to figure out why! When you find it – comment, just don’t reveal the secret, so other users can have fun spotting it too.

If you managed to place Magic Trick of The Day gadget on your Google homepage successfully, like I explained yesterday, then you should see new magic trick appearing in it now. The video where Criss Angel flies over a building block is just unbelievable. You can check it out, when you finish with today’s optical illusions.

What I prepared for you this time, is a new Stereogram collection submitted by Andy Vargas. He sent them with description: “Here’s some pics I thought you might be interested in to expand your “Stereograms” section with.” First one is supposed to be imperfect. Andy made this one himself, and is used for diverging. The other ones are used for converging. The last one, called Red and Blue is for those red-blue stereoscopic glasses. I gave up on these long ago, I never see them right. The closest I came to seeing them right, was with that 3D Dino, where I had to do nothing, and managed to see that 3D Chair. Darn!

ClubMed IllusionRemember that popular campaign done by Harley Davidson? They made really successful promotion of their new models, because of their smart optical illusion advertising. Everybody loves illusions, and they are certain to attract viewers attention. Sony did the same thing with their Bravia LCD Campaign. You can find all of them in our Billboards category. What you see here is an art poster, a satire on false perspective by William Hogarth. It was submitted to me by one of our fans, Thomas Welton. It’s a classic spot the object illusion, where Escher’s influence is more than obvious. Your assignment, this time is to spot as many irregularities you can see, like the time you had to spot them in Andrew Gold’s LP cover and this picture here. I think you should try opening the picture in full size, to see the details better. For those of you ho adore this kind of illusions, I recommend Virgin’s competition illusion, and Lovefilm’s poster illusion. Let’s see who can find the best hidden irregularity down here. Please limit your self to one irregularity per post, so other visitors have good time in spotting them. Enjoy!

Xavier found this rather interesting optical illusion. The illusion was created by Bernard Pras. Xavier explained: “There is a little shop in Burkina Faso. The owner is looking around for customers but there doesn’t seem to be much interesting about his plastic buckets and trinkets. Or is there ? Watch what happens when a picture is taken from another side of the shop“. You should see a man’s head (African) in profile. Inside the article there is another photo, same shop seen from another angle. To see the face in the first photo, you’ll probably need to step away few inches from your monitor. Great one!

This funny optical illusion has been circulating the internet lately, and I thought it would suit our site greatly. I’m not interested in religious debates it may trigger, simply a funny image where Jesus and Satan are portrayed as yin-yang, complete opposites that complete each other. There is an old saying that good can not exist without evil, so perhaps this was the motivator to the unknown author who created this picture. We had Jesus showing all around our community, but Satan illusions were always there as well, only not so obvious. I bet I don’t need to explain how the word Jesus, doesn’t mean “Jews”, even if it resembles it, and that by rotating it, it becomes anagram (or ambigram, I forgot which one) and reads completely new meaning. Also the portraits themselves are double meaning illusions. Did you like this one? Hope you did! I just found out this one was created by Harpo Marx (Marx Brothers?) and you can find many more awesome works on this website!

Hunter Evans, Dario Jukica and few of my other visitors mentioned this optical illusion video to me as a must for this website. I already covered this optical illusion house in one of my older posts, but today I give you the newest video of it, so you can witness yourself I was not kiddin’ when I said that the house sculpture is actually concave (opposite of sticking out). If you observed the photo on the left, you can witness this by looking at the shadow on the floor. This one was created by Roy Lichtenstein, and is called “Sculpture & Drawings“. The sculpture House you see in the video is 113 x 127 x 156 inches and is made of fiberglass. Actually, this illusion itself greatly resembles one of the most popular illusions ever – the little green dragon illusion. The last mentioned is a must for all optical illusion fans!
