Optical Illusion Game – Echochrome

I just received emails form few people saying Sony announced new optical illusion video game! We haven’t had many illusion games featured on this site, even though they exist. The closes we got, was posting that optical illusion test. This game will be called Echochrome, and will be downloadable for the PS3 and PSP. In the meantime, before it’s out, we can sneak peak at this awesome video below. Does it remind you of Halucii’s Problem video we already showed? I see a connection with Journey Illusion as well. I have another easter egg for you (although it’s really summer already)! If you are familiar with stereograms, and know how to properly view them, jump to this awesome Stereogram Tetris game, I can’t play it since I can’t view stereograms properly… shame.

  1. the game looks fun, but really hard. but the steroegram tetris is pretty cool. it doesn’t have a lot of features that the normal tetris games have, and the screen is a bit too big, but its cool.

It was VERY long since last I saw a fresh idea for a game.
    Great for sharing, thanks.
    Tal.

  7. Why not Nintendo DS? This game seems like it was MADE for that console considering the touch pad and dual screens. You could use the direction pad and left hand to walk and the right hand and stylus on the bottom screen to rotate the structure which is seen on the top screen. Dammit.

  8. That’s awesome! kinda like an extension of the idea behind Super Paper Mario’s dimension flipping. A really big extension, but similar nevertheless… In that what you see determines the reality, not the other way around.

  9. Oh wow, I’d love this game. Too bad it isn’t coming for Wii. It would fall in the demographic they’re targeting too.

    Alas.

  10. You mentioned that you couldn’t see sterograms properly. Well the same person who made the sterogram Tetris also has a Reveal the Magic Eye Sterograms! Just click on the link and scroll down to the end of the explanation. Click on that link. Hope this helps!

  12. It took a while but I escaped. All I can say is be patient, pay attention to the little details, and keep clicking. I almost gave up…

  13. I’m glad that Sony had decided to adopt an intellectual game for their platforms. I’m thoroughly disgusted with all of these vapid, shallow, moronic, and idiotic titles that have been released on other systems. Such as the xbox 360 in all its filth. Screw microsoft, Screw 1st person shooters, Screw people who have the attention span of goldfish and use their minds as little as possible.

Much praise to you Sony and more praise to the creators of Echochrome.
