Nike SB Blazers Optical Illusion

Melissa took the picture below herself, using her digital camera. She has bought a new pair of Nike SB “Optical Illusion” Blazers, and along in the shoebox came a strange black dotted piece of paper. If you look at it from far away, you can see it also pictures a shoe! Melissa further explained: “I thought it was neat, and cool that I found an optical illusion in the last place I would imagine. Anyways, loooveee your site!” I have Googled more about these shoes, and this is what I have found – These kicks were inspired by the interesting concept of art based on optical illusion. The Optical Illusion Nike SB Blazer features an all black upper with added white accents on the sole (you can see the actual shoes inside this article). There is a swoosh and heel tab with corresponding accents along the ankle collar and laces. A classic optical illusion “swirl” is drawn onto the tongue tab, along with a foot-bed graphic.

  2. Awesome.

Just one problem. Total Photoshop. I’m an expert in Photoshoppnessing, and have been doing it for about 85 years, and I have specialized knowledge (that you should take my word for) that proves these are fake.

  3. Why does it take so long for comments to appear? Am I 3rd? I can’t tell. There should be a counter keeping track of how many have been submitted and tell you which you are.

  4. I love your site too, but this kind of “optical illusion” is not really an illusion at all. It is simply the normal half-tone printing process (where the photo is divided up into an array of dots) with very low contrast so that the dot sizes hardly vary.

  5. im kinda tired of someone saying that an illusion is photoshoped they dont know what the fuck there talking aboutit just anoys me for some reason

  6. Lol this is melissa herself. Trust me people, it is NOT photoshopped. I am too poor to buy the program and too dumb to figure out how to download it for free. Anyways, it came in the box and I didn’t pay attention to it till I saw it from far away and noticed the shoe. Oh, and that wasn’t an ash tray above the paper. Its actually a round perfume bottle, lol. :) I’m so happy my picture got posted. This is an awesome site!
Oh and yeah this isn’t exactly an amazing “optical illusion”. But the fact that up close you have a really hard time seeing the shoe shape, and from far you can see it very clearly, that I would say justifies it being categorized as an optical illusion.

  7. –sorry but im confused, i literally just bought these shoes and that paper illusion thingy didnt come in them at all…
-idk if ur lying about the illusion being in the box
-or it was just a coincidence
plus nike SKATEBOARDING wouldnt put a pic of a Nike Airforce BASKETBALL shoe in their box,

still nice taste in shoes though…

  8. When items are nestled up against some materials for a certain amount of time it will conform to the shape. Nice insoles.

  9. Dontremb : Actually I worked with photoshop for 95 years, I beat you every time, and you know it!
