Mistress Illusion

mistressproperHaving a mistress is something really low in my opinion. Especially if you’re married, and got caught in action. Well, this guy got caught, which suits him fine. He should better respect his wife. As we can obviously see, this bald “gentleman” flirts with his maid, not knowing his wife is watching closely on them. Even though not easy to spot, I assure you there is another woman in this picture closely watching over her husband. Can you spot her? If not, I can give you a small hint – save the picture, rotate it, and you’ll probably have more luck. Hope you like this. Also, be sure to learn something from this. If you are married, live morally, and if you’re a kid, when you grow up be cherish your relationship.

  1. Are you talking about that creepy thing at the bottom that looks life half a face? ‘Cause if that’s it, it sucks.

Still a great fan of the site, though.

  2. If you turn the picture upside down, you will find his wife’s head on top of and connecting with his mistress’s head.

  3. I see two faces. if you turn the picture upside down and look at where his knee bends you get an eye and the mouth is like his jacket fold, the hair is the dress. then you get the other one where its just the other face coming out of her head

  4. how ’bout that half face on the maid’s dress?-If u cant see what I’m talking about then save the picture and rotate to the right and look at the left edge

  5. Nice mix of an illusion and a moral lesson — now if only everyone took heed of this! :-)

Like maximillian, I saw two faces, and thanks to =P, I was able to spot the real one that you’re probably meaning.

I love illusions where you find extra hidden things…very nice!

  6. i would never have seen it without those hints – thanks! if you still have trouble – turn the picture upside down and the wife’s head is below the maid’s head – they share hair.

btw, i don’t think this illustrates a man and his mistress – it looks like sexual harrassement (at best).

  7. I agree. Put “Spoilers” at the top so if I don’t have time to spend on it, but want to know, I can find the illusion. There are some days where I’d spend all day rather then click “Spoilers”, but sometimes I need it. Or maybe offer the spoiler link the next day for the previous day’s illusion?
    Something like:
“Didn’t get yesterday’s illusion? Click for the Spoiler”.

  8. anyone else see a problem? We’re all looking for or have found “the wife”, but the card itself says “Find the Mistress”

  9. there is like 4 faces
that odd little face in the corner one coming out of the head, one if you put it upside down on his jacked looks like she is in a hood
then the one the other person mentioned which i personally can’t see but sure it is there

  10. hmm, not impressed. The only other face I see is in the maids hair and it’s upside down.
So is the wife suppose to be dead and watching from the heavens?

Or is she alive and looking upside down from the heavens?

Either way, this is a bit of a stretch and I’m not sure the artist planned on painting an illusion.

  11. I FINALLY see it! Turn upside down, at the very bottom. Part of the sky is the face, and the maid’s hair upside down is the wife’s hair. Also, the red thing the man is wearing looks like a red dress upside down… but then you cannot find the head and the face, nor hair. Found it? I hope you did!

  12. I don’t see it. At all. Where is it? I see the fold at his knee, but it does not look like an eye. The jacket fold doesn’t really look like a mouth. And I see no connection with the mistress’ dress being the wife’s hair.

Can some one show me where it is? Draw it out with red marker or paint. This is one off the toughest optical illusions I came across.

  13. *Spoiler*
If you turn the picture upside down, look at the top of the maid’s head (her hair.) The maid’s old hair magically becomes the wife’s new hair! The trees outline her face.

    1. the banister leg-thing to the far left is drawn strange; it kinda looked like a lady to me; the one in the crease of the maid’s elbow

  14. Wow, amazing how many people type the same thing over and over again, especially the number of “first post!” posts about halfway down :)

Anyway, I see one that I don’t think anyone has mentioned yet: the mistress’s apron. If you look at it upside down, the white apron in front of her chest looks like a face. Of course, that might just be the human brain’s affinity for finding faces. I see the one above her head (the real one, I think) and the one in his coat, as well.

Oh, and “live morally” is a _completely_ subjective statement. I’d say that a relationship that isn’t mutually satisfying should probably be ended for the sakes of all involved.

  15. FINLLY I GOT IT.
look upsidown and the wife is just a head and shoulders the maids hair is her hair
the maids puffy thing on top is a flower behind the wifes ear
the wifes facial feaures are the curves of the maids head.

  16. This has the potential to be a lot better. Eh, i was kind of expecting more, but never would’ve seen it without the spoilers.

  17. I have a better clue turn the pic upside down ad look at the bush near her head, underneath her and its another woman.

  18. Very unimpressive. The spot doesn’t even make sense. I would assume the artist would place the wife in a better spot.

  19. haha has no-one realised that there are many different opinions? some say it’s the maids hair, some say it’s the guys shirt and some say it’s down the bottom. hey, maybe there’s more than one. hmm.. maybe not

  20. I finally got it me and my friends were loooking at it forev!!! Well some advice for this is turn the pic upside down and look at the maids hair u will see it!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Nice illusions. Too bad about the need to spout simplistic morality diatribe. It makes you sound like you personally have had trouble keeping your men happy.

  22. I think I might see her in the tree, and you don’t have to turn it upside-down. Her face is on the left, and her hair is blowing, to the right. I THINK.

  23. I also saw a dress WITHOUT turning it upside-down, on the red part of the man’s shirt, it has a v-neck type thing going on. And some sort of necklace, above that. But my guess is that it’s the tree, because it has a head.

  24. i see 2 faces… the one on top of the maids head, but the one i saw first is the face that is on the husbands face, his face is a profile while hers is a frontal view… nice, i think the face on the mans head should be the one since it would explain the maids expression…because she would end up kissing her too!!!lol

  25. i actuaally looked at the bottom of the maids dress and spotted the face with long hair (teh black dress and her face ( the maids shoe and inside beige coloured part of her dress) ps turn the pic 90 degreea clockwise

  26. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!That is so cool butt heads the hat of the maid becomes a ear thinger and the hair of the maid becomes the hair of the wife

  27. wait. k, i see the one above the maid’s head, and i also see the one in the creep’s (i.e. the man’s) face, which would explain his earring. come to think of it though, how many women does this guy have?

  28. i was expecting the face to be way larger and scarier. so i didn’t see it until i started looking at it on a smaller scale.

  29. Brain can cause a dozen images in that picture… Besides the one at the top of the mistress’ hair – which seems more likely to be the closest – has anyone noticed the mistress shoe? along with the dess, seems to me like a very threathening eye watching them

  30. three faces are frem right to left
    husband the maid & wife……
that yellow colored circle enlarge it and notice.

  31. If you turn it upside down, you can see it. Why did he tell us to rotate it? I copied the picture to Word and rotated it, made no difference. Then I turned it upside down, and I saw it above the maid’s hair. Why rotate it, though, I haven’t a clue.

  32. i se one and you dont need to turn it upside down, the fluffy bit on the maids belly/chest are if you look to the right of that you can se the shape of a face and nose around the edge of it then the white bit that follows down is her dress swaying to the left :)

  33. Thats weak.. More like a Rorschach blot. This is like pointing out triangles on youtube like it actually means something, I wouldn’t consider this an optical illusion at all.

  34. I see half a face looking at me, bottom left corner where the ground meets the dress — I see scary looking eyes like someone is watching.

  35. Since several others also call the woman a maid, I guess we can conclude that the man is hitting on someone’s employee. And she’s not so happy at the prospect.

What we can’t determine is whether she’s his employee and whether she’s his mistress. You get these kind of discussions when the illusion is a little too strained.

[BTW My dad’s having a mistress at least meant he ran around less publicly.]

    1. PS If he were her employer he’d be known as the master of the house and his wife, as the mistress. Perhaps it’s in this sense that the illusion got its title.

    1. Barely there :). Just focus on the bottom right corner of that picture, when upside down.

  36. bingo !! when you rotate the pic 360° look at the maid’s hair, it’s the hair of the wife, the bush behind her made the face of the wife !

    1. you mean 180 degrees… terrible ‘illusion’, it should be more pronounced… it’s like someone wants us to see something that isn’t really there.

  37. Okay, so the description makes no sense, it says that the wife is watching them, but, really, If you look at the answer above, she obviously can’t be a shape of a tree upside down?? and how do you know that’s the wife? it can’t just be a face made by a tree shape??
