Mega Flicks Store Optical Illusion

There isn’t much to say about owner of this store, or about billboard he approved. I wonder how his workers feel, or maybe the multiple meaning was placed there intentionally – just to reflect owners thoughts on his staff? Dunno, but one thing I’m certain, “Mega Flicks” (company’s name) is the last thing I saw in this photo. Am I the only one? There are millions of simmilar photos flooding the internet, but rarely have much to do with optical illusions, or content of this site. I had to share this one with you, hope you find it as hilarious as I did. Stay tuned, more “real” optical illusions soon!

  1. i don’t really find this as halarious as you, vurdlak, but I find it more idiotic of the owner of the store or company! I mean, at least make the sign in lower case…

  2. The first thing I saw was ‘MEGAFLICKS’, but it was easy to see something else a second later, and I’m quite sure that if I lived near there I’d see both all the time.

    Nice one!

  3. ha :) that was pretty funny when i first looked at it i thought sweet where is this place i want to go

  4. Haha. That’d be awesome to see while driving by. I didn’t read it as ‘Mega Flicks’ the first time. I was wondering who would name their store something like that. :P

  5. I was wonering when someone would get the L and I a little to close in the word Flick. Bic has been trying it for years. Ah, the perversity of human perception.

  6. Hahahaha! Too funny! I didn’t even realize it was FLICKS until I read the caption. I just kept thinking why would someone name their store MEGA FUCKS and what does it have to do with optical illusions lol. I wonder how many pervs come in and then turn around and leave saying “Nevermind I thought this was a different kind of store” lol

  7. as a digital artist, i can say that this is a photoshopped pic. the bottom tip of the L was extended a little to minimuze the distance/green between the L and the I. Funny though, first instinct is to see MEGAF#CKS

  8. woow!!! for sure you´re not the only one!!!! I didn´t see it till read you saying!!! flicks?! i definitely wouldn´t find that!

    love this site too!!!
    bye! from Brazil!!! x]~

  9. it looks like f*cks. i dont think id want my kids to visit that shop. “looks mummy this shops called a bad word! can we go to mega f*cks

  10. Cows have four of these…women have two of these…

    what am I?

LEGS. You have a dirty mind.

What goes in hard and pink but comes out soft and sticky?

    CHEWING GUM
    You have a dirty mind.

    What does this sign say?

    Apparently Megaflicks…

    and apparently I have a dirty mind…

  11. I don’t find it hilarious, as I have the illusion of the day on my homepage and I was shocked to see this on my homepage!!!!!
by the way I am only 9 so I am never going on here again if it will have more stupid, rude words on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. HAHAHAHAhA That’s a good one, i first saw megaflicks, then sat back, and saw megaf*cks

    Very good,
    I like this site :D

  13. I’m sad to say that this store closed down a few years ago in Hudson, FL. I was visiting home recently and always enjoyed driving by and having a chuckle. Rest in peace MegaFlicks.

  14. Wow I had to read the title of this one to see L – I instead of U. The person who designed this must have been evil or stupid… Nice one!

  15. Sorry, but that is BLATANTLY photo shopped.

Note the REALLY low quality, and weird blur in the bottom of the U.

  16. this is pretty funny. does make you wonder what goes through ppls head doesnt it.

its not near as funny but there used to be this little strip of stores i drove by. one store sold anime stuff and was simply called ANIME, written in big stand out block letters on the wall, and right next door to it on the right was a donut shop.. simply called DONUTS, written the same way as its neighbor. but the titles were so large that they ran together

for MONTHS i was wondering what in the world ANIME DONUTS were!

  17. It is because of the 3D lettering and the angle of the picture that it appears this way. From the front or left side it would clearly say megaflicks. I love it! Al Rules!!

  18. to all those who say this is inappropriate:

bear in mind that this is simply a photograph of a store that is obviously in the public eye and is looked at every day.
it is a complltely harmless (although funny) interpretation and if you think someone is going to be negatively affected by this in any way, then you are sadly mistaken

  19. No, this is not a Photoshopped image. I live about 15 miles from where this store used to be (it closed 2 or 3 years ago). That’s exactly what the sign looked like.

  20. that’s funny as FLICK. If I lived nearby I’d laugh at it every FLICKING day. Un-FLICKING-believable…..also about the complaint from the 9 year old – do your parents no you use the name juicy:) -grow the FLICK up!!!

  21. Dunno about anyone else, but it took me a long time to see “MegaFlicks” as opposed to “MegaF*cks” which took me about half a second

  22. To Juicy, if you are only 9 yrs old then you should not have name like Juicy. This in it self is sexual.
And to 43. anonymous children should have adult supervision while on internet.
this site is fine just the way it is. Thank you for great illusions.

  23. Thats funny, for a second I was going to delete this google preferences applet until I saw flicks instead of something else…

  24. haha tht took me a while… at first i didn’t get it at all i thought it just said megaf***s then my friend was like “oh haha it’s mega flicks” and i was like… lol thts funny

  25. I am deleting your gadget from my iGoogle page. This “illusion” was in very poor taste and definitely not for young children. In general, I enjoyed your site but more and more of the illusions are not what I choose to view nor wish my young ones to see.

  26. If you don’t want your kids to be exposed to anything bad, kill them in their sleep.

Or else GOD FORBID they see a boob, watch porn, see fuck on a picture, or gasp: maybe even learn something?

  27. to me it said megafLIcks first, then changed its mind once i read the article. funny tho, where is/was that shop?

    1. Used to be at the corner of US Hwy 19 and State Road 52 in Hudson, Florida. Closed quite a few years back though.

I used to have a friend named “Meg” and she was afraid the “a” would burn out one day making it MEG FLICKS.

  28. I use to live near this place. It was a in Port Richey, Fl. Pretty sure they did it on purpose, as the place was noticed by everyone.

Went back there this past summer, but its a amscot now, as you can see on any street view if you enter this address 7102 State Rd. 52, Port Richey, FL 34668
