Magazine’s Soldiers Illusion

Dunno if you saw this, but what I do know is that we get letters all the time, urging us to devote more space to Salvador Dali’s life and work. Here you have it: a cover of a Match magazine, dating all the way back to October 12th, 1939, which was created by Salvador Dali himself. What you see is an apparition of a War Scene, but when you look more closely, you’ll see the face of Lieutenant Deschanel *whoever he is*…

  2. really cool illusion…
and who in the world is Lieutenant Deschanel????
i’ve never heard that name before…

    1. Paul Deschanel (1855/1922) Presidente della Repubblica Francese dal 17.1.1920 al 21.9.1920

  3. When I stand back from the screen, the only thing that I can see is the face of Deschanel. I’m finding it quite hard to see the other stuff. Like it though as I keep finding more things inside the face the more I look.

  4. for those of you that dont know, it is a soldiers face

  5. I personally would love to see more of Dali’s work.

We actaully just did a project on Dali/Surrealism in my computer art class; it really inspired me to learn some more about him.

  6. i love these type of illusions. they always show 2 things going on at once. i also like the ones where you have to turn the picture upside down to find the face :)
