As people attempt to recognize and write these words, some of the thinking patterns that have been ingrained in them since they learned to read are challenged. A video titled ”Elementary Square-Word Calligraphy Instruction,” was played on a monitor during the exhibition, capturing the audience’s attention and inviting them to participate in the class. Once they were seated at the desks, the audience was instructed to take up their brushes and the lesson in New English Calligraphy begins.

For the illusion of the day, this picture was spotted by Syed Ali (cool name dude!) on a major internet homepage. It was released in honor of Wallace and Gromit 20th anniversary. Except from showing two of the main characters, this picture contains additional subliminal message. If you “decipher” the message, you’ll quickly realize which major website used the pic. The secret lies in the branches

I don’t feel much inspired for writing today, better yet – last few days I was completely hit by writers block. Above all this, my keypad stopped responding when I enter “space” tab. I think there is some kind of food element stuck beneath it, but who knows. So after I wrote this article, I needed to copy-paste each “space” line between words and construction elements. Think about it for a second! How much of unnecessary work am I talking here.

But I’m not gonna allow such a trivial problem stand between me and this blog. No way! I already purchased Dell’s wireless keyboard, and hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. Check the photo I linked, and please give me some feedback if you’ve had the opportunity to use it by any chance. I just hope I didn’t make the wrong decision, based only on viewing a single photo of it.

Not to bore you with my personal “problems”, I chose this simple picture (you see on your left) for today. I think the illusion is very simple to see, but the idea behind is very nice if you ask me. Hopefully you skipped reading the title, the descriptive tags beneath, and will solve the optical illusions yourselves. What are the tree branches hiding?

Nah, am just messing with you (like you wouldn’t figure it out). So once again we have few vintage cards for you to play with. There are 5 of them, and each one includes at least one logical mistake. Can you spot all of the faults, in all of these game cards? First one is placed on the right, while the others can be found below inside our small gallery. Normally, I would’ve included one of these per article, but since I find them so easy to solve I’ve included all of them.

If my memory servers me well, we’ve concluded that these were very popular back in the old days when our grandfathers were young. Perhaps not as precious as all those vintage baseball cards, but still valuable. While you are reading this I should already be in NYC for a week, and hopefully drinking cocktails and enjoying my 7th day in Big Apple. Why I’m writing all this in such a way, it’s because I wrote this article on the last day of September and set it to auto-appear today.

Can you see the head of a hearding dog Collie in this photo above?

I am more than certain how those of you that came to this article via your optical illusion widgets saw the illusion immediately! Rest of us (Festivus, the illusion for the rest of us!) will need an explanation before we see it. It all began when Joe Faircloth sent me a photo, taken in front of the local bridal-wear shop in Newtown Powys, UK. Joe asked me a simple question, whether I can see a Colli in his simple shot?

What do you see?

In the beginning I almost ditched the submission, thinking there is nothing interesting about it (you have to remember we get dozen of submissions daily – not all of them qualify), but then a simple coincidence made me see it. As most of you know, Gmail has a built-in function, which previews  the thumbnail of the attached pictures and files. While I couldn’t see anything in the full-size photo Joe sent me, I saw the dog’s head perfectly when the shrinked version appeared! To picture you what happened, I made a similar thumb and added it to the right. Remember, original picture I received was 5 times bigger than the version I posted above… Can you see it now? If you still have problems, try shrinking the image – or check how it looks inside your preferred widget.

Is this face featured in all of the Columbia movies?

Chris Anderson sent us this interesting screenshot from Columbia Pictures’ “Quantum of Solace” intro. I had some problems spotting the hidden face at first, but when I finally found it I was convinced it couldn’t appear there by accident. I’m certain Columbia pictures integrated this guy on purpose, but what I can’t be sure is whether the face can be seen in all of the Columbia movies, or was it only supposed to be some kind of Easter egg reserved only for newest James Bond flick? Further, does this guy remind you of someone? Is it the famous “Stay Puft” Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters? Would be logical if Columbia owns rights for Ghostbusters, but this shouldn’t be too hard to investigate. Let us suppose this was true, then probably its just a hidden advertisement for newest Ghostbusters sequel (in production). Before I log out, this is what Chris wrote me:

“I discovered your website a few days ago and have enjoyed looking at hundreds of illusions by now. I guess my mind has been in ‘optical illusion’ mode, as when I sat down to watch the “Quantum of Solace” James Bond movie today, I saw an extra face in the “Columbia” film intro.
