What I just noticed when I opened my website, and checked the previous Don Quixote illusion, is that there was a hidden Easter egg for all of us! Check out the shield next to the soldier’s left foot. Can you see a reference to the Vase Faces illusion we already published? I felt really smart when I discovered this! Now on to our next article – How big should your canvas be? How about 2.5 acres of ground! This is exactly how much was used to create a gigantic Barack Obama portrait. Piece you are seeing bellow is called “Expectations”, and the artist behind this sand art is Jorge Rodrigues Gerada. The outsize scale of Expectation also allowed the artist to allude to the global impact of this election. For people around the world, the symbolic power of an Obama presidency would be without precedent in modern history. Big Foot Illusion

Hi! I’m Luke and i am one of the new co-editors for Mighty Optical Illusions!

And because this is my first post, I’m going to start with a very shocking illusion… Yes, it is true. Big foot is real and i have conclusive proof in this photo.

No of course not, but it does look so, doesn’t it? How have they managed to recreate such huge footprints in the sand? [no smaller ones anywhere near?!] Is this another photoshop con? This one looks very similar to “Giant Jellyfish“. If there’s anything I’ve noticed, it does seem strange how one foot looks a bigger than the other. Mars Crater or Convex Mars “Island”?

What do you think this photo from Mars below represents? Is it a Convex Object or Concave Crater? Many of my friends argued on this one, before I gave them true answer. NASA said it shows “Victoria crater,” an impact crater at Meridiani Planum – near the equator of Mars. The crater is approximately 800 meters (half a mile) in diameter. Peter Hosey sent in this fabulous illusion. He said that it “Looks like a convex object, but that’s actually a crater — the Victoria Crater at Meridian Planum on Mars, photographed by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.”

Harrison Lake Sand Sculptures

The minute I saw this photo, I felt sorry for a poor guy. I assumed it’s a picture of a dying elephant. But later I realised it came from a site dedicated to sand sculptures. This exibit is located at Harrison Hot Springs, also know as “Harrisand”. Harrisand hosts a World Championships of Sand Sculpture, so if you visit it, you can’t miss having really great time. Check for more of amazing sand sculptures inside this post. I posted only those who manage to deceive, giving you impression it’s real thing not a sand sculpture. Brazilian Sand Girl Optical Illusion

User Javier sent us these fascinating pictures taken by photograpaher Jair Ribbeiro. First I didn’t believe this is an optical illusion, instead I though it’s just a girl covered with sand laying on the beach.
