Mihaela Stefanescu simply described this photo like this: “Sometimes, snowy windows may be a little tricky…” I believe that it is enough to understand how the illusion took place. I know you’ll think it’s not very difficult, but I bet you wouldn’t see it instantly, if I hadn’t told you Mihaela’s explanation. I probably posted [...]

Fred Pena submitted this funny duck illusion recently. He described his situation in these words: “I just came across your site the other day and I really enjoy reading it. I instantly subscribed to the RSS feed and look forward to all the new posts. Keep up the great work! Meanwhile, down in [...]

As you probably noticed, we are moving some things over here at Mighty Optical Illusions. The most obvious change is that now we have our own, much simpler, and better looking domain name. From now on you can access Mighty Optical Illusions by typing www.moillusions.com, or simply type moillusions.com in your web browser. However, the [...]

What we have hear is another optical illusion from Asia. To be more exact, this fellow lighting a cigarette is from Korea. It’s so simple, yet so beautiful (the illusion, I mean). Still, my advice to him would be: “Stop smoking, it’s bad for you!” But who am I to say that, when I have [...]

Jordon Smith decided to play with photoshop or some other photo editing software, and created alternative version of Girl Holding a Moon. Jordon: “The girl looks like she is actually holding the sun and then the moon effect was then photoshopped in after taken. I played with the contrast and brightness and got this shot.”

Here’s a collection of nature’s illusions I’ve had for a while on my hard disk, but never published them for some reason. Today I decided to take deep breath, and browse through my illusions folder to find some of them that were amazingly created by mother nature. It’s similar to funny billboards collection I posted [...]

Hehe, I got much laugh with this photo, and it instantly reminded me of once-popular girlie band (in the title). Observing this photo won’t give you a hint where the illusion hides, but after jumping inside to second and third photo, you become surprised. Notice the resemblance with Ladder Illusion? I thought so! Now [...]

First thing I’d like to mention about this illusion, is DON’T try this at home folks, the guy on the picture is trained professional, and this is really dangerous thing to do! It’s not so easy as doing the Fart Joke, which also isn’t much safe. Now on with Jim Wiley’s description: “I blow fire [...]

Taylor Russi happened to hear of this illusion in his history class (of all places) and thought he’d send it along. Taylor: “If you look at this first picture of the Medici Chapel, it doesn’t appear to be very large, only five, maybe six stories. Yet, from another view, it towers over Florence. [...]

I still don’t get these new kind of illusions, how do they do that? I’m not much of a photographer, but I heard it has something to do with “slow exposure“. If you are visiting us for over a month, then you probably already saw Laser Cup illusion, that was the first of this kind [...]
