The title has more to do with me clowning around, than actual illusion it represents. But what is more important, is that over the weekend we have passed 20 million visitors milestone! You can check for yourselves in the footer of the site. I know, I know… 20 million doesn’t represent true unique visitors, but [...]

Hybrid image optical illusions were first invented by some guys over at MIT, I think. These images are able to change interpretation as a function of viewing distance. In this example below, you might think that what you are seeing is absolute. If you are standing somewhere near to your monitor, you should be seeing [...]

Hy everyone. For today I have prepared simple, yet amazing optical illusion (like I always do :) The Poggendorff Illusion is an optical illusion that involves brain’s perception of the interaction between diagonal lines and horizontal and vertical edges. It is named after Poggendorff, who discovered it in the drawing of Johann Karl Friedrich Zöllner, [...]

Please share your thoughts on this, since it’s very important for me to have clean looking design on Mighty Optical Illusions. Also, friend [...]

This one has to be the best illusion I came across. It’s a scanned flayer for the local dancing school (probably this one). Took some time to see it tough, but when I noticed the illusion I couldn’t stop laughing. I’ll let you figure this one yourselves. No hints from me!
My head still hurts, but [...]

Got this photo from Laura Hales, and wanted to share it with you. I believe this time the photo was manipulated, but never the less it’s freaking awesome! Maybe it would be even cooler if the smoke took form of a cancer (crab). Line that goes with this illusion should be: “Don’t smoke, or you’ll [...]

This one loads optical illusions quicker and without companion issues. Once you arrive to the vista download page, I would REALLY appreciate if you rate the gadget with 5 stars, [...]

The design team that calls itself FAT (Fashion Architecture Taste) isn’t the first one to take the old “face vase” optical illusion seriously, but it may be the first one that attempts to create actual portraits in the thin air surrounding pottery. “Heroes of the Invisible” forms the faces of designer Mies van der Rohe [...]

Recently, WWF (funny, I thought WWF stands for Wrestle Mania – World Wrestling Federation) released these four billboards with accompanying message – “Preserve Your World, Preserve Yourself”. I cannot lie that I’m fond of these kind of public service campaigns, specially when they involve creativity. Best ones I can remember include campaigns from Amnesty International, [...]

So, Yahoo still hasn’t updated it’s widget database with our updated widget, but from my experience this should happen some time tomorrow, or the next day at worst. Then you’ll be able to get working version (5.0) of the “Optical Illusion of The Day” widget for your desktops. If I forgot to tell you about [...]
