Camouflage Cans by Liu Bolin

If I was asked to think of a single artist who has truly mastered his profession, I surely would’ve think of Liu Bolin. There’s no need to repeat everything that has already been said about this true genius, rather be sure to check #Liu Bolin tag for little bit of history in the making. This time Joey Tillman discovered a new piece by Liu, featured by The Telegraph. It seems Liu even beat himself this time. I can’t seem to realize how you do this kind of camouflage solely using your bare hands and bucket full of paint!? See for yourself!

  2. Shame about this one, I recognised the name Liu Bolin in the openin title, and knew exactly what to look for.

He needs to put more work into his feet.

  3. Wow! That’s remarkable! If it hadn’t been for the shoes, it would have taken me a lot longer to see him. IMHO this is his best one.

  4. wow! I was seriously wondering what was so fantastic about this one and wondering why Liu was not in the picture and then i saw a blurred line. This is, by far, his best yet. Thank you Vurdlak.

  5. That’s way better than a lot of his other ones. Even blown up it’s hard to really see him. Or at least he’d be easy to miss!

  6. That’s amazing! When I saw it smaller on my iGoolge page, I didn’t even realise what the illusion was until I saw the shoes! It’s beautiful how precise the work is. I love this :D

  7. This is probably the BEST Camouflage Optical Illustion I have ever seen. I am fairly new to this website and this is the first Illusion that I have seen by Liu Bolin. I’m sure there are more out there that can compete with this Optical Illusion but I don’t see how anything could top it!!! This guy is AMAZING!!!!!

  8. I asked myself a question when I saw that. How long did they take to paint it, and how they make it s AMAZING!Pretty much, no other Optical Illusion can beat this, only if they do the same thing but with more/different cans. Liu Bolin is an awesome camouflauge painter for what I can see.

  9. Liu Bolin has been doing his Hiding in the City series since 2005. It started as a political commentary on the tensions between the Chinese government and their people and the identity an environment gives an individual and vice versa. Liu Bolin will be exhibiting at Eli Klein Fine Art in New York from June 29 – August 28, 2011. Eli Klein Fine Art represents him exclusively in North and South America. 10. this was in our newspaper (we can also buy the New York Times in Starbucks, but I’m talking about our local newspaper).
