How can this be possible? See the video!

When Janek shared his Impossible Nuts with us for the first time, many argued that the video has been manipulated with. I knew that was not the case, but still – it would take time to locate each and every one of you non-believers, and  then explain it in details to you. This video will simplify the process drastically! After seeing it, those of you who previously had hard time figuring those nuts, will finally understand how simple and beautiful this optical illusion really is!

Going off-topic, hope you have spent your holly days deservedly. I sure know I have. Today I spent whole day trying to figure out what is he best way to host my own videos for Mighty Optical Illusions. Actually, hosting them is the easy part (since we have our own dedicated server from recently), but I can’t seem to find a smooth and simple video player that I can install on my website. Something like Vimeo or Videopress. Anyone has some experience in this field? Would be nice if we could replace all those spammy YouTube’s with our custom ad-free player! Consider this my next goal…

  1. Love it.
Once you can get your mind around it not being what it seems, seeing the nuts inside-out, at that point it suddenly looks normal.

  5. Peter Gorham says:

That’s a great one. I can get myself to see the convexity of teh left nut, but I just cannot see it in the right nut.

  6. Sophie says:

    That is really, really cool!

  7. Joanna says:

I thought the straw going through the nuts was just drawn in some how. So it was very freaky to see the solution. Fantastic, Vurdlak!

  8. Joel says:

blew my mind for a bit then i understood, awesome

  9. wise says:

  10. Bill says:

You could try using longtail video player. It has tonns of skins and you can make your own. Unfortunatly it has a stupid watermark which costs €59 to remove but I found a way to remove it. It’s open source so it shouldn’t take you that long to figure out how to remove it ;).

  12. Joey Tillman says:

thats really cool! even after seeing it once, i still cant tell that the nuts were convex.

  13. Ms.Observant says:

  22. Ron Calhoun says:

This is cool, some of you need to stop lying about knowing the solution. LOL

  23. anon says:

I’d like to see them moving it with the pencil in place. Then maybe my mind could wrap around it being convex. This is excellent.

  24. Detective Kitty says:

I got it right a way but I didn’t realize the other illusion was that it could be concave or convex…excellent new way to make an old illusion seem so cool…pun was kind of bad though….

  25. abcdef says:

fine i really impresed with it

  26. skinnytheskinner says:

even after watching the solution approx. 13 1/2 times, i still can’t get myself to see the convexity of the nuts once they come out of his hand =O

  27. Mr Average says:

That is brilliant!! A truly mighty optical illusion. A couple things: first it turns out they aren’t even independently moving! The “nuts” are attached, but in a way that makes them seem to move separately. Which leads to the second observation, it’s done in a way that the shading all looks correct from a single light source.

    Simply brilliant.

  28. Padlock13 says:

Yup, excactly like I said at the impossible nuts you posted before, they are concave

  29. fff says:
