Bare with me, I know some of the content seems to repeat itself, but you have to understand we are constantly receiving waves of new (to become regular) visitors that might have missed our archives. Still, I always give my best effort not to repeat myself. Even though some of the illusions may look exactly the same, I never posted the exact same image twice (except unknowingly). For those of you who still don’t get what so special about the picture below, well it’s just that all of the lines in it are perfectly straight and parallel to each other. I think this is one of the best examples to show the Seemingly Bent Effect. Agree?

Great illusion. Keep up the good work. And, not meaning to be rude, but I know you have asked for assistance in learning English – but if you don’t want this advice please ignore…The phrase at the beginning of your post should be “Please BEAR with me”. To say “bare with me” is inviting your readers to take off their clothes with you…lol.

2 illusions in a day… must be a record. anyway great illusion! way more obvious than the seemingly bent one

  3. prophet666 says:

these are great illusions, they test the human eye

  4. Anonumaous says:

yup i can definitely see the bent lines.

  5. Norm says:

    Good one!

(But, by the way, unless you’re asking us all to take off all our clothes and get ‘bare’ with you, it’s ‘bear’ with me, as in “bear a burden…”)

a good example of a classic

I was unsure about this one… so I opened it up on photoshop and cut one out, yep it was straight according to the program but it still looked bent, great illusion !

Definitely one of the simple ones but still one of the best

  12. That is one of the better and most obvious of the bent lines illusions I have seen.

  13. Chakolate says:

Wow, this one is super! It’s the best one I’ve seen of its type. Bravo!

But when you say ‘bare with me’, what you really mean (I hope!) is ‘bear with me’. ‘Bear with me’ means have patience with me, but ‘bare with me’ means ‘let’s get naked!’ :-)

  14. F. says:

Wow. That’s a strong one! With a little effort, I can usually force myself to perceive the straightness in this type of illusions. But not in this one.

  15. Detective Kitty says:

this is really cool the black and white makes it see like it’s bent…but in reality it isn’t you’re right this is the best example I have ever seen

  16. and scrolling up and down makes the bends move

  17. Lucas Delfin says:

    This one is really good!

  18. Whazizname says:

This is so cool! I used paint to make sure that it was straight and it was! First? Second? Third? Who cares?

  19. Ms.Observant says:

Where do u get bent lines from? I dont see it bent at all. O.O

  20. Peet says:

Great example. And in the widget (small image), the lines appear even more bent – for me they are almost touching and even crossing.

  21. u scroll up and down and it looks like its moving
    :)

SOME PEOPLE ARE NOT HAPPY UNLESS THEY CAN FIND FAULT IN ANYTHING WHIC THEY SEE OR HEAR, OR IS IT THAT ARE JUST TO PERFECT TO REALISE THAT MISAKES CAN HAPPEH JUST LIKE THIS….
