I'm a native New Yorker. I suggest seeing a Broadway show (unless you absolutely hate that stuff). You can get tickets at reduced prices at the TKTS stands. There's one in Times Square and one in South Street Seaport and another in Brooklyn, I think. I suggest going to the Seaport anyway. It's fun and it's got a great view. This is a great classic illusion!
