Circular Optical Illusions CollectionBefore I try and explain today’s optical illusions, I’d like to take a minute of your time and ask you for a little favor. As you know, we have published the Vista gadget recently, and it’s been doing great ever since! Over 50,000 visitors have downloaded this app and enjoy it for free. I have never asked you to donate, nor pay for any of this stuff, and I will never do. But to keep this hobby alive I need a little help: if you like this gadget as we do, please login to Vista website (you can use MSN login and pass or you can register), and vote our gadget with 5 stars. I hope it deserves it!

For today’s illusions, all I can say – they’re pretty circular! It took a lot of convincing before I believed that every single picture posted represents regular (concentric) circles or spheres. In some examples you may even think that the “curves” are actually spirals, but I can assure you that you would be making a big mistake! Many similar examples were already posted – you can check them in our archives. Which example was most insane?

I’m not getting the bottom two, but ok.

  2. FaQ says:

For the bottom two, I think you’re supposed to stare at the center until the edges disappear.

    Nice illusions, btw

  3. Anonymous says:

The bottom two are circles, but they don’t look like it because of the patterns

  4. Nextelgirl says:

    Very good illusions.

  5. Anonymous says:

3rd from bottom is no way a circle. They are elipses, but maybe the picture has been stretched vertically?

  6. Anonymous says:

Gee Wiz These Are Pretty Koolio

  7. Anonymous says:

I think the second one’s the craziest, but they’re all really good illusions.

  8. Anonymous says:

The 3rd from the bottom is not circular, it’s elliptical.

  9. Theresa says:

These illusions make me dizzy! Love the site, keep up the good work!

  10. Vibes says:

Darn, i allmost fell off my chair at the bottom one.. to the left… Strange!

  11. Isaiah Alvarez says:

lool i know they are circles but dang how does the human mind work!!! it makes them look another shape

The green one is crazy. Like woah.

  13. The Navigator says:

    I like ‘em.

The one with the green background sends my eyes all loopy! Definitely gets my vote for “most insane”.

  14. Anonymous says:

green one definitely the most insane

  15. Anonymous says:

    those are just crazy

  16. Zoe :) says:

If you stare at the center of the bottom two and move in and out it looks like they move.

  18. Dave says:

the second one made my brain explode.

    Excellent stuff.

  19. SciGuy013 says:

I don’t understand the top two but, hey, the other ones are exceptional.

  20. Anonymous says:

3 and 4 are the best, very convincing

  21. Anonymous says:

I like the green one best!

  22. KEVIN says:

Talk about hypnotizing!! For the second one (black and white, not green) it’s the white at the top/bottom/left/right edges of the circle that makes you think they aren’t completly circular.

  23. Anonymous says:

    3rd looks like a 3d ball

  24. Anonymous says:

    i like them

  25. Paradoxal says:

    my eyes!
    my eyes!

    O.o

    =D

  26. BraDRoBBo says:

I love the green one its crazy! Sent it to my dad =D

Sends my eyes all loopy!:P lol… try it as your background maybe?

i don’t like the bottom two though – probably because i don’t know what they’re supposed to do – maybe just look a little square/straight edges because of the pattern? but meh :P… I think they were easily made in, for example, paint shop or photoshop using the transparent ‘colour’ (the squares) and then blurring from a screenshot of it(from deleting a circle from a white bg fro example)

  27. Low says:

    Theese are really nice!

    /Low

  28. Scottt says:

When i first saw the third one i thought i was looking down at a ball with twisted tiles. Is that normal?

  29. אורין says:

The thing about the third picture from the end is not whether it’s concentric circles or elipses: It’s that there are no circles there, just weird yellow shapes that make it look like there are circles, and that’s pretty cool.

  30. maggie says:

    i like it

  31. **~**AAAQueen**~** says:

Scroll up and down on on all of them except for the bottem two!0:)

  32. allie! says:

For the bottem two, when you stare at the center the edges look like they’re vibrating. At least thats what I’m getting.

  33. Pancakes says:

On the 3rd last one (the yellow one) scroll up and dow

  34. me says:

if u scroll on the second and third pic it hurts your brain
