Good news people! We managed to locate an error that has prevented our Yahoo widget to work properly for the last few days. The problem has been located and fixed in less than 30 minutes by Mr. Devicedeveloper from Elance forums. I thank him greatly for this. Now, when we have fixed the widget, it has been sent to Yahoo for approval, and we are just waiting for them to approve the new version. You’ll be able to update in day or so, so stay tuned!

Also, we have finally passed 19 MILLION unique visitors, which means our little website has been visited by more people than some world countries have residents! Who would’ve guessed we have become so popular! Also, we have another present for you! I can’t reveal the details right now, but in a week or so everything should be set for announcement. Considering illusion part, I have uploaded some new stuff from Felice Varini, the guy that made those incredible 3D Rooms. Remember, none of this has been photoshopped, nor digitally manipulated!

What can I say? It is just too AWESOME! 9th comment? Or first? :)

  2. Strawberry says:

    Wow!!!! What’s the surprise?!

    Great illusions!

must be some job to paint it right. If I could do it, I would use a strong beamer to project the figure on the walls, so I could use that as a guideline… but, I haven’t got the skills!

  4. Rico says:

Sorry…but don’t believe she gets permission to paint churches with colors like this way.

nice! One comment about the 19 millions: they are not unique visitors, as numerous people come to your site everyday. They are the same ones, just considered as unique after a day…

  6. Minna says:

These are my favorites ! I would so wanna see one of these IRL… but I think I’m not going to find it here, because I live in Finland… :(

  7. Kaillou says:

FIRST !!!!… not photoshoped ??? are you really sure !!

By the way… the 3 first seem real and there are AWSOME !!

  8. xiuhcolotl says:

I think some of them are photoshoped but… they still look good ;)

  9. Anonymous says:

    Wow!

  10. Carlos says:

    ummm…. cool.

  11. kesnar says:

    Nice…

(Oh oh first coment :P )

  12. Zerav says:

    Amazing!
I find hard to believe that there isn’t digital manipulation, but there’re some hints on the floor reflections proving the veracity
Did I say how amazing are these pics?

  13. David says:

What does he use for the colors?

    Paint, colored tape, what? @.@

Cus they’re amazing, but i can’t believe that he painted in the walls and cillings of some buildings that are art already.

  14. Dave says:

I don’t get it. I don’t think these are painted on the walls. Now that would be cool.

  15. ctefer says:

I just cant believe some of those images. Some of those look like really old mosaic structures. who would just go around painting squares and triangles on them. Some I can believe. Many just look like photoshop.

  16. Anonymous says:

With exception of the first few, the pictures appear to be fake. It looks like he just put color images over existing photos. Plus, I doubt anyone would let an artist paint over some of the beautiful walls, ceilings, etc. in the buildings shown. I would like to see the work from different (off-set) angles showing another perspective.

  17. SkinsFan21 says:

That is so AWESOME!!!!! I wonder what it looks like from a different angle…

    P.S. Where is this?

  18. Kam says:

Someone just has way too much free time, but… Its still awesome.

  19. David says:

You should have shown the other views of the pictures like you did with your last post of these rooms.

  20. Jesse says:

    This looks shopped.
    (first)

  21. what was that you says:

    1st??

    anyway…. TOTALLY AWESOME!!

  22. Anonymous says:

yes first one to add a comment. These are so awesome

  23. Philip says:

Incredible! That’s unbelievable of how much time people put into that to the painting the walls. # 17, the ones with the artifacts, the red lines look like lasers protecting the artifacts.

  24. snowball says:

awesome cool wicked amazing. but i have a feeling that i’ve seen the 6th one before…..

  25. Anonymous says:

These look likes fakes. How come we don’t see them from other angles? Besides, who would let some guy paint up a bunch of those old architectural buildings?

  26. Negreanu says:

2 photos are in the same location…so it seems to me as a fake and a computer grafician makes them.

  27. Hompis says:

    Nah! Photoshop the most.

  28. Screaming Doubles says:

    These always blow my mind

    jimminy cricket

  29. Anonymous says:

allmost every thing is done by photoshop…:S

  30. Anonymous says:

These are absolutely incredible but I would really like to see them filmed; how all the parts come together when you move to just the right spot. Are there any videos of this technique?

  31. Tawnie says:

WOW! These are amazing! I’d love to see them in real life!

  32. Anonymous says:

    most are fakes

  33. missgeburt says:

it looks really, really cool.. :)
but somehow i’m pretty sure some of them have been posted before :/
ah well. nonetheless. great pictures :D
and glad your widget is working!

  34. Anonymous says:

  37. Joaquim says:

    wow

  38. Anonymous says:

    WOW!!! Those were really cool!

    FIRST COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  39. Anonymous says:

i Think only the first picture is real. The rest just looks fake. And something looks fake there is a good change it is.

  40. Anonymous says:

i don’t think all of these are real, especially the ones that are drawn onto the stone buildings

  41. Wobbly Wombat says:

Very nicely done! For all the people saying “Fake,Photoshop” etc. There are video walkthroughs of some of his work at http://varini.over-blog.net/

  42. Anonymous says:

This would be really hard to do without a projector… With a projector I think i could manage to paint something like this in my house (maybe not as big and cool but still pretty cool)

The red checkerboard one you can see the red reflection on the ground.. adds some dimension to visualize how it really is painted

    Very cool indeed

  43. mike says:

i think there real, i mean some of them are questionable because of where there made as some people said. none the less, they look kool, photoshoped or not.

and the 39th person thinks they’re first, so this must be a popular site, people repling so fast that many people comment before they can be approved!

  44. JDoc says:

I think all of these pictures are amazing.
I also have my doubts about some of the ones on the beautiful buildings that are there.
    #11 and #13 look very similar…
It doesn’t really matter though if it says they aren’t photoshopped then they aren’t.
There are other ways to get around that however…

  45. Someone with a background in art says:

While I do agree that some of these look pretty cool, they are ALL photoshopped (or another similar program). It is absolutely possible to create this type of illusion in a given space, but the lines are too perfect and in areas where there is a reflection, you can see that the “paint” is just a translucent effect over the original photograph. Nice try to whomever created these, but it is not real.

  46. Henke says:

WOW! Actually seems like they’re real. I Just couldn’t couldn’t believe those antique hallways were painted, but a google image search for Felice Verini proved me wrong…

  47. Selendrile says:

lol well ‘guy with background in art’ they are very real.

the only thing is this blog doesn’t show the other angles and there ARE photos of other angles, they just didn’t show them here.

so art guy go back to school, and get a new background.

  48. Anonymous says:

    These are definitely real
i’ve seen pictures from other angles on most of these

  49. Anonymous says:

What part of “Remember, none of this has been photoshopped” do you people not understand? every one of these paintings would work from the correct angle. You people always ruin the best illusions by saying they are photoshopped.

Anyway, I personally love these murals and would like to see more of them.
