Got this photo collection of from a visitor whose contact I have lost, so no additional info can be provided except that all of the amazing portraits were made by sticking small pieces of tape one over another. The more layers author attached one over another, the darker was the shade he achieved. It struggles me how detailed all of the portraits are, and it must have taken ages and great amount of concentration (and talent!) to create something as interesting as this. Am not sure if this belongs to this site’s theme, but the photos immediately reminded me of Barcode Art post, and Scarface Poster Illusion that we already covered in the past. If we got those to pass the audience criteria, you’ll probably like this one as well!

It never ceases to boggle my mind how talented and creative some people are. I certainly did not get the creative gene. Maybe not a true illusion, but an interesting group of pictures. Keep up the wonderful work you do for our enjoyment.

  27. Justin says:

Hmmm. Can this truly be called an ‘illusion?’ After all, every image is made of up tiny, dicrete units of color/tone.

  28. David Oblas says:

that’s pretty neat… they look horrible up close, but the further away you get, the better they look!

  29. Dandelion says:

I love it, and yes, I think this sure belongs on this site. It is a little like those shadow-pictures you once showed us. It is unbelieveble how someone can make beautiful art like this with quite big pieces of TAPE!

  49. Chris says:

This is probably what would have happened if Claude Monet had turned in his paint palette for a roll of tape.

    In other words: post-impressionism!
