Ever saw that movie called “Snake Eyes” with Nicholas Cage? Well, this illusion has nothing to do with it, except it shows you close-up of a snake’s eye. I love that movie, so had to mention it. Thats it. Wait, I’m kiddin’ again. The illusion is that the photo below has nothing to do with snakes… nor eyes, either! It is just an ordinary leaf found on the ground, and photographed from up close. I was pretty heavily surprised when I found it out. Did I manage to fool you as well? Hope I did :)

Indeed it does. Hails to chaos theory. Patterns and structures are similar throughout the universe, and even the human mind has to submit to them. Unless you’re an US citizens that is, of course.

It does look like something from Google Earth, though my first thought WAS a snakes eye. But it’s a leaf.

it’s probably a leaf that had water soaked on it to make an eye.

  14. Daniel says:

I agree with the first guy. At first glance i didn’t even see the snake and I thought it was a google earth illusion.

  32. K.J says:

This is neat, and i do believe that is is an up close shot of a leaf, but i have a hard time believing that the black part is original. I think that part was maybe photoshopped or something of the like.

  33. Anonymous says:

was the leaf burnt to get the black mark

but i dont think they just found a leaf on the ground with that shape on it and they took a photo.
to me it seems like they burned the leaf.. less around and a little more in the middle, thus giving that effect (lol thus)
