Greg Grease Lehman, “The Grease” is a tattoo master who sometimes plays with optical illusions and their forms. We have already seen Greg’s tattoo face illusion, but this time he sent us something completely different. Impossible objects like this one never get old. They are interesting when they are photoshopped, like the yesterday’s illusion, but when the model is real, it makes you even more confused! This is what our Tattoo Master wrote: “Mr. Vurdlak, here is a paper model I made last night. Probably seen before. But I still like it! More to come!”

  3. Anonymous says:

I can’t see anything unsual with that picture.

  4. courtney says:

its not really impossible, it just LOOKS impossible. took me a minute to see it, but it makes sense if you think about it.

  5. Andrea says:

ummm…i dont get it….it just looks like some figureins on a glass Shelf…idk…this one is not sooo goood

Now I get it, the white and red striped piece of paper is supposed to look straight. I seriously was trying to find where the illusion was, not how it was made, but it’s still very well done

    That’s pretty cool!

    God Bless America! :)

    LOL

    Good illusion, Vurdlak!

im confused what is this supposed to be showing?

  11. Anonymous says:

    How is this an illusion??

  12. Anonymous says:

The background confuses me. I think it’s the geisha woman. But otherwise, hey that’s cool.

  13. Anonymous says:

It’s three dimensional for sure but I don’t know how he did it.

  14. Trigger says:

    I wish I was there!

  15. A.J. says:

at first I thought it was 2D also…now I wonder if it only appears this way when photographed from a perfect angle?…like those larger building & interior illusions posted here before – that are only visible from a single viewpoint.

  16. Jill says:

Perhaps I’m just really dumb, but I don’t see the illusion. Could someone explain it?

  17. Anonymous says:

it looks like it gets a little fatter in the center where the twon vertical parts connect

  18. Anonymous says:

No, it’s not two dimensional. The figure is a real object but appears as an impossible object.

  19. Sam says:

i don’t get it, how is this an illusion?

  20. Dario says:

Very.. very nice! we don’t see the red paper reflection on the glass. :P:P or i’m really tired. Else its wonderful! and confusing!

  21. Julie says:

Wow, that’s really cool! I had to cheat and look at the other comments to actually see the illusion; otherwise, I’d still be scratching my head, wondering, but yes, I’m still confused on actually how it’s done! I wonder if it’s an angle of the camera along with a a “slip-over” piece of paper. That’s my best guess, but whatever it is, it’s very neat!

The red and white stripped box is clearly angled, but the right edge makes it look like it is straight…

    Right?

  23. Alan Gabriel says:

This photo isn’t taken in a perfect angle, the edges aren’t align. I mean, the blue box has a cut up side. // Yo hablo en español así que… El lado pòsteror de la caja está cortado y doblado hacia adelante para que coincida con la caja a rayas, se puede notar que los bordes no están alineados, es decir, el ángulo de la foto no está perfecto.

  24. Luv this site says:

That is the weirdest thing, how strange…

  25. Mathieu says:

That model is cool. Is there a place on the internet where we can actualy the information how to build such models at home?

  26. Lily says:

    Simple, not impossible, but cool

  27. Anonymous says:

Is that 2D? I want to make one!

  28. Anonymous says:

Doens’t look too impossible,i figured it out after 2 secs……… i want a better one

  29. Anonymous says:

Ive seen stuff like this before at museums n stuff but still really cool. the backround is just to confuse them

  30. Kevin says:

On the google widget you should tell us what to do instead of what it is called.

For example: find the lion not Lion ilusion or something.

  31. Anonymous says:

    That is not an illusion…
You can see it. It’s right there, on the shelf, “Therefore it is”

  32. nommzz says:

the right side of the blue box seems to be crooked .. i m onlhy guesing here…

if you look at it straight on.. heres what (i think) it’d seem like..

  33. beautifulone says:

Whoa! I had to read the comments before I could tell what the illusion was, as well… I didn’t even notice that the horizontal box was like that! I guess my mind automatically interpreted it in the only way that made sense… But now, that is all I can see when I look at the picture! It’s so weird…

  34. Politikally Paranoid says:

    That’s so weird…I don’t understand that though….I don’t see how that’s impossible.
