Thinking “where the heck is optical illusion here“, ayeh? It’s right in front of you actually! If you observe this person’s face from up close, you’ll notice it has no eyes, nose nor mouth. How can this be, when it looks perfectly normal (apart from it being just a cartoon). The answer is beneath the surface – the author, obviously talented son of a gun, managed to fool us by making multiple meaning illusion. The fingers are making illusion of a face! Simple, right? But how many of you would notice this immediately, if I hadn’t written about it? Be honest…

i think this illusion is showing that your hands (what you do) make who you are and not what you look like
wow thats sweet!
It reminded me tho, about the pix of like the lady on the forehead and such is there a way u can show them cuz theyr really good illusions, but not have them on the widget? I have 4, 6 and 8 year old sons who i dont want to see that on the widget.

Perhaps the Worst illusion yet, so bad I felt compelled to comment. It doesn’t even look that much like a face and what are the arms doing? Great site though, keep it up guys :)
When I first saw this in my google widget, I thought it was a comical cartoon drawing of a big face… (like the ones you see done at fun fayres(sp?) with the features exagerated. The arms were the broad chin, the gap between the elbows was that little dimple thing (or whatever it’s called). The dark collar is his mouth, and then the small features of his face with the hands and fingers.
That’s really weird xP Brilliant, though. It took me a second to see it.

Not trying to be a downer, the illusion is cool, but give us some credit: it’s not terribly difficult to see that the “face” is made out of only fingers.

it doesnt even look like a face from far away!!? its no illusion. just some hands, which you could probably do in reality, with your fingers and a ‘blank face’ behind them!
not so good… I saw it immediatelly that the face is not real, because it looks strange.
I have a widget from Google wich always shows your illusions in a smaller thumbnail. There I couldn’t see the optical illusion, but now I do. It’s quite funny, though.
Omg! I realised it by the fact his arms were facing towards his head, I normally try to figure it out before I read the blog to make things more challenging; keep up the good illusions!

If i try very hard i can kindda imagine it being a face, but i actually only see some fingers in a weird position

Nah i didn’t see it:( I just thought, sheesh he has weird hands. I guess even before i read it it was pretty obvious what the illusion was gonna be but i still didn’t spot it! whoops.

I always look at the optical illusion and then read the text….I noticed that there was no face, only fingernails and a sort of imaginary nose, along with shading on the fingers for eyebrows. The real illusion is who has fingers that can bend like that?
