Buyakasha! Another interesting variation of a spiral optical illusion. Long time visitors will immediately, and by intuition know where the illusion hides, while rest of you will need few seconds before it comes to your attention. When you look at this drawing, you immediately see spiral pattern standing out against a grayish background. Try to trace the spiral with your finger – It isn’t there! The short curved lines really make circles, and your brain, confused by the background, mistakenly links the short lines and interprets them as a nonexistent spiral.

this is one of many things our brains misinterprets. The real question is what else do we misinterpret. In truth, it could be everything since we are not seeing with our eyes but with our brains.

Very interesting, i think this illusion help us to reconsider our point of wiew about something. we see what we want to see.
if you look at it from a different angle you may find out that you aren’t looking at it the same way as you were at first. it’s the craziest thing! i’m going to go stand on my head and spit wooden nickels now.
Its a good one alright…I was thinking it was a spiral but it wasn’t…every illusion on this site is good.

Great illusion…I’m always amazed at how much our brains misinterpret! My brain even tricked me into tracing the beginnings of the spiral at first because, apparently, the spiral just *had* to be there…oops!

Aww. This illusion didn’t work on me. I tried it and it just made circles. And that was before I read the description. =[ Pretty cool though.
