This “political cartoon” you see below is actually an optical illusion based on an old optical trick that some of you may have seen before (remember original Jesus Illusion). The primary image is the Twin Towers during the attacks six years go, on September 11th, 2001. But as you see, in the sky over the towers is a specter that forms in the mind as an “after-image” when you stare at it long enough. Works in a same way all those other afterimages worked.
To experience this optical illusion, look at the top middle of the image – look at the four tiny black dots that run in a line between the hearts. Now stare at the dots very close, for about 6 inches from your screen. Keep your focus on the dots for a minute or so, then, look away from the monitor at a bright blank wall. You may need to blink a few times, but then specter that George W. Bush sees in the events of September 11th, will appear in front of you… Amazing!

I suppose it was inevitable, given the nature of the illusion, that the comments would take the turn they did. I am disappointed, however, in the fact that some of the contributors are making claims without doing proper research.
First, while I’ll concede that the “Government Planned 9-11″ theory was bound to be considered, it doesn’t hold water. To believe that theory, one must believe that the U.S. government, which has not been able to keep a lid on NSA wiretaps and military irregularities at Abu Ghraib, was able to plan and execute an incredibly complex attack on our own soil, planting bombs on two occupied buildings, and nobody saw anything or nobody’s talking. Preposterous!
Second, you’re going to make a claim like “9-11’s also hitler’s b-day”, do some research! Hitler was born on April 20th.

It is an interesting illusion that can be interpreted a variety of ways.
The thing that is so stupid about this, is the Jesus part is just stuck in the middle of the two buildings. It is not like it blends in to the picture and when you stare at it you see the illusion. Someone just pasted a negative of Jesus between a cartoon of the WTC. How lame.

9-11 was a sad day…but the reason we remember it isn’t because of the deaths, but because it was a moment that will always remind us that there’s the good and bad, and either way, we can’t forget them, but we CAN move on~ I didn’t know what happened cause I think I was only in secong grade at the time. And seriously, did this have to go political? Some of you are barely in high school, and have no idea what the world is like. All you are aware of in high school is the filtered education system that America offers. Watching TV or reading your textbooks does not inform you of the truth of anything that goes on in the world. Trust me, I was an army wife long enough to know that the media is incorrect.
