Thanks for telling me the term “droste effect”. It’s new to me and by some googling and tiny researches I found a gallery below.

that has some impressive droste effect pics. They should be done with GIMP with Mathmap plugin with “MM Escher-Droste code from Pisco Bandito and breic. (I haven’t looked into the exact details about how to make my own yet but surely going to do =] )
